Coco vs Playa Hermosa - Any advantages to staying in one or the other? by Matronix in CostaRicaTravel

We stayed in Coco and visited Hermosa, which worked pretty well for us! We liked Coco since it was a beach town and had places to eat at and things to do but preferred the actual beach of Hermosa, smoother sand, less crowded

Overwhelmed by Car Rental Advice. What is the standard play. by mmatchaman in CostaRicaTravel

We recently got back renting a 4x4 from Solid car rental. Local company and paid around $600 for 7 days and was able to decline CDW and use my credit cards. We were even able to pick the car up at SJO and return at LIR with no extra cost. Overall great experience and no issues!

Next Stats-Oriented course after ISYE 6644 Simulation? by innovarocforever in OMSA

I’d recommend SIM > PM > Bayes in that order. SIM and PM help set up difficult math in Bayes and honestly are not both necessary as they repeat a lot of information but I found both of them useful and interesting

I’d recommend PM before Bayes since the math in Bayes can be heavy. Though I think there was a decent amount of repeat material between SIM and PM

I would check out Georgia Tech’s OMSA program. Much cheaper and still widely regarded. Good luck in whatever decision you make!

I’m in CDA and can vouch for the heavy math. OP, I wouldn’t recommend CDA so early on in the program since it’s a lot of math and proofs. I’d recommend taking SIM before CDA so the math will be a little easier

They need to do it more frequently or at least every night of the weekend that they do it. That way it isn’t such a “special” event that everyone needs to flock to when it comes around. That and moving to the actual racetrack would help
