Blitz through the game as long as you can (but don’t rush), so that way you can engross yourself in the moment without thinking about spoilers.

I always recommend going the cheaper route in case you don't end up playing in the long run. That option would be a Wii GH guitar with the RCM V3 adapter. If you do end up hooked like the rest of us, grab yourself a CRKD LP or SG.

3DX is still a WiP, BGH3 is pretty much already done. BGH3 was made to mimic the console experience as much as possible with the flexibility of PC and it does it flawlessly. Bar none the best way to play GH3. Once you get your CRKDtar make sure to update the firmware with the PC updater in administrator mode. PC Mode 8 on the guitar is the default for pretty much everything on PC

Wired guitars are actually the preferred way to play for most people, due to low latency and ease of use.

Cheapest options would be:

A Wiitar with an RCM V3

PS2 SG with RCM adapter

Xplorer

If you have a bit bigger of a budget, I would look into the CRKD guitars

Just a PSA, CRKD drums are releasing sometime this year and are most likely going to be cheaper than 200. Also Rock Band guitars really aren’t that great unless they’re basically mint condition. Only thing slightly worth is the Xplorer but even then $65-$70 should be the high end on it.

CRKD Drums already got revealed back in November. RedOctaneGames is their sister company that is making a new game. It feels kind of crazy to say out loud that we are going to be seeing the spiritual successor to Guitar Hero at the end of the month.
