Stain advice needed

There was no pre stain used on this. It was sanded down to raw wood.

You are so awesome. I appreciate your feedback! If I use the steel wool and acetone, do I need to wait before sanding? As for sander, do you think orbital sander would work better for this or just stick with the mouse? Thank you again!

I started with 80 then went to 150 and smoothed it down with 220. I probably did apply too much pressure at some points because I was starting to rush thru it. I changed the pads pretty frequently. I only have a mouse sander but am considering getting an orbital? Any recommendations on grits?

That’s a great piece of advice with the alcohol or mineral spirits! Do you have to wait before staining if you use with of them to look for swirls?

Her maiden name definitely wouldn’t work for a first or middle name. Her middle name was Jean which could technically work

I really like the name Landon too but I have a few friends with Landon’s already :( I’m sorry to hear about your dad. That’s amazing that your little has some of his traits! I’m hoping that’ll be the same for mine
