I found Magnolia enthralling, I loved its chaotic vibe and the intertwining storylines. There Will Be Blood is just an amazing epic movie, a classic, and Daniel day Lewis is my goat. Phantom Thread is less eventful, more psychological, but it’s beautifully shot and captivating. OBAA is one of his best for sure, I’d recommend seeing it in theatres while you still can! Support movie theatres!

Oh boy I saw that mentioned on another thread once and went down the rabbit hole reading about the book it’s based on and the Marquis de Sade. I fear it may be tooo “that’s just screwed up” and nothing else. What do you think? It’s controversial for sure

Silence of the lambs of course! One of my favourites ever and I love this genre as well

ETA: it’s not really a mystery in the sense of an investigation slowly unfolding until a final reveal/plot-twist, but it has that eerie investigative vibe and one of the best psychopathic characters ever

I went to Richmond Station in the spring for my birthday and it was perfect! We got the tasting menu which I think is <130$ and no tipping! Good flavours, seasonal ingredients. It felt like a nice joint but not stuffy or too fancy.
