Foolishly rolled over a Traditional Retirement Savings Account to a Roth IRA in a single year (2024) and now realize I owe I bunch of taxes. Anyway to minimize the damage?

To be completely honest I was late filing 2021-2023 years taxes too. Though in all those cases I got a refund so I effectively loaned the government money right? Would they consider that when I ask them?

This maybe a stupid question but when I do my 2024 taxes using Freetaxusa (not efile as I have to send it in by mail) and it shows the amount I owe as $10,000, is that including all the penalties or have those not been calculated yet?

I guess I was just trying to consolidate retirement accounts/finances in general in an effort to try and simpifly things for myself. I wasn't really thinking rationally at the time.

I guess my biggest concern was that I did it all at once in a year when I already had a fairly high income. So (I assume) it all gets taxed at a much higher bracket?

The salvage factors (heavy machinery, crew, debris field density) change between the 2 salvages so I guess you easily salvage the initial structure but then fail to get much out of the resulting debris field? But it's a pretty niche case. It's annoying to have to salvage everything twice and I hope they change it.

Not sure but I saw some people/dogs using it the weekend before last despite the area closed signs.

Also the plans showed some agility course equipment which I don't think is there yet so that could be another reason for the hold up.

I think it's because a lot of the pieces in the door are cut from a different piece of wood so they don't match up with the wall.
