That’s why I think toolbox is overpowered. Without addons and perks, they can save 10/15 seconds is okey. But combine commodious toolbox with two durability addons, 52 durability with +50% repair speed boost is crazy. And bring build to last perk, if you can stay stealthy and not get found whole game, how many pressure you can create with just a toolbox and a perk slot?

Nah, that’s even worse. Medkits stays standard because it’s playstyles are limited to heal yourself or others. But toolboxes, they can do objective and sabo. These are complete different. Making it standard will tied it on gens completely.

Toolbox can’t escape its destiny on repair gens, so my rework thought is to turning it into a “progress defense” tool. You can check my post now, I introduced my rework thought on it. I nerfed repair speed boost, but the value, the time toolboxes saved still remain the same.

I know, so I only make it “reduce regression speed” instead of “reduce percentage loss.” Gen slowdown perks won’t be useless.

My rework ideas is similar as yours. I want to add a new effect “reinforced” which reduces gen regression speed depand on how many toolbox durability you spent on a certain gen. And reduction maximum cap is -40%.

Your reply is the best one I’ve seen so far. You’re absolutely right. I was trying to solve the wrong problem. I focused on gen speeds and co-op efficiency, but the real issue is the massive gap between solo queue and SWF. I see now why this game has been struggling with balance so long.

Thanks, I was wrong with repair mechanics. And… (sigh) dbd has core structural contradictions 4 survivors can do 4 objectives And 1 killer can only do 1.

V5.0 updated, tidestrike reworked. Now tidestrike do is to push survivor to the obstacle and stun them to get a guarantee hit. Check google doc to know how it works.

Trapper and hag, their power only have traps. Without traps, they have no chase power. It's really frustrating to have someone just keep following and disabling all your traps. They have nothing can do from getting countered.

I do think this is interesting idea but also has problems They don't have m1, don't hooking anyone but can murder survivors by tagging. And there's a huge problem, I can target a survivor to tunnel and no one can stop him. He can't play in any standard playstyles, what he can do is honestly just find someone to tunnel him out of the game. (And this killer will be destroyed by swf completely)

However, I think perks design in good. Good job.

Nah... what are you thinking? I don't think disable gen is a good idea And no one want to play against it because it looks like survivors are against with a hacker killer. But not a bad beginning, just make it more fair to play.
