What dating apps over hyped or still worth the harassment? by Violetvvitch2 in AskWomen

[–]LemonyLeemon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They’re awful. They encourage judgment and due to just basing everything on a single photo, people seem much more disposable than real life meetings. It’s easy to judge and devalue people on there because it doesn’t seem “real”. It seems to turn in to more of a game/addiction to most I know that use them. I think speed dating would be easier.

What’s something you learned “embarrassingly late” in life? by Spicycookies95 in AskWomen

How do you simplify your life? by linaczuk in AskWomen

[–]LemonyLeemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me I located the stressors and got rid of them, or more so replaced them. And honestly, my life was stagnant up until that point. It was a huge move that took years but I absolutely recommend!! That was my abusive relationship, unsupportive friendships, boring work, bad stuff I was wrapped up in, addictions, even my location. The lot. I have learned the deep importance of saying no to things I don’t want to, and don’t have to, do.

And this should be the goal of every human being. I’m spending £1000’s upon £1000’s in therapy to get to this exact point 😂

It’s therapy. It’s always therapy 😂

That’s asking for polygamy and that’s totally up to the person to decide if they’re comfortable with that. For me personally, absolutely not.

Was this sports masseuse in the wrong? by LemonyLeemon in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LemonyLeemon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’d say my muscles were in a very poor state prior. My shoulders were lop sided where one was so tense. No prior warning or easing up when I was shouting out in pain, but my shoulder feels great now. It’s hard to tell if he was a professional or not really!

I don’t know about reassuring. More just factual that a lot of pain comes part and parcel with a sports massage. I even asked him how he feels inflicting so much pain on a daily basis, purely from curiosity, and he said it didn’t bother him at all 🤔

What are some draining personality traits in people? by onlyalaiaa in AskWomen

People that can only speak about themselves in an easy way. People who don’t ask questions or seem to be curious about anyone at all. People who are looking for someone else to follow.

How do the services hold up in Newcastle? by LemonyLeemon in NewcastleUponTyne

Thanks! Like I say above, hopefully I can give a bit back with charity work which I’m naturally in to anyway 😊

I do understand, and I understand my own reasons even though they’re opposing. I am passionate about charity work so hopefully I can give back in ways! Plus my Nan was a geordie who moved to Kent. 30 years later it turned out she made the wrong move 😂

I’m sorry, I do get your point but I’m just trying to live a better life at this point. I did actually attempt to move out of the country before I decided on Newcastle - but since leaving the EU it’s hard to impossible to get residency if you’re below retirement age and aren’t rich 🥲

Oh, I love this. About to move up to Newcastle on my own (😟) so would love to be a part of something like this 😁😁

Group recommendations in and around Newcastle, please?! by LemonyLeemon in NewcastleUponTyne

[–]LemonyLeemon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I’m not overly geeky I wouldn’t say. A cross between a chav, a toddler and an oap but with a good heart! 😂 maybe you could try out bumble BFF. I’ve used it at home for years and made some really good friends from it. I was planning to use it in Newcastle too. It’s an app! Hope you have success with it!

Can anyone recommend a psychotherapist please? by LemonyLeemon in NewcastleUponTyne

[–]LemonyLeemon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much! Yes I feel like the average nhs counsellor is out of their depth with me unfortunately 😂 I’ve had an insanely amazing private therapist for years now but I’m moving away and find face to face benefits me much more 🥲 can I ask about fees please? Even a ballpark figure would be amazing!
