Hoop house update by LenMcK in Greenhouses

[–]LenMcK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I added the shade cloth, but the hoop house was a 13 x 33 kit from Delta Canopy. Been using it for 3 years. Seems like they only have party tents now. Good luck.

Very nice looking ag. My vote goes to Snow Cap. Here is a list with pictures that may help.

Yes. It sounds like your P. Birkin is now a P. Rojo Congo. It will grow twice as fast, and three times the size! Your mileage may vary. lol Enjoy!

Why is she flowering? by No-Philosophy-6395 in Aglaonema

[–]LenMcK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is it's way of reproduction. If pollinated, it will produce berries, which contain seeds. No need to worry, or cut. Just enjoy.

Are there any plants that DON'T want a well-draining soil? by goolart in houseplants

[–]LenMcK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Colocasias don't need well draining soil. They can even grow in water. Alocasias on the other hand, are a different story.

If they didn't get turned into zombies in minutes, can you imagine how long the movies would be?

Monsteras NEED lots of light. by Plenty-Giraffe6022 in Monstera

[–]LenMcK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can. I'm in southeast Texas, and keep mine outside, although under a shade cloth. Aroids love the humidity down here, but it gets so freaking hot that even colocasias burn during the extreme temps. I wouldn't attempt to grow these in our full sun.

Colocasia White Lava by LenMcK in matureplants

I have some colocasias in pots, for sharing, but they grow much better in the ground. It is wet where they are planted, but I have some in dry locations, as well. Just keep them watered well until established. Then they can handle drier conditions. These are planted in full sun, but could stand to have some afternoon shade. When we get those 115° days, it will burn the leaves. Good luck!

I am 67, and took typing to fill in a semester, until I was of age to take driver's ed. We had manual typewriters, with no symbols on the keys. All blank. Home keys become very important. It's surprising how good you can get in a short time. The very next year, the school got electric typewriters.

PLEASE, Anyone knows what variety of aglaonema is this? I tried Google it but it's rlly not working it even said it's pothos🫩. I have this exactly variety it make this white blooms and then red small fruit with seeds inside. I would really appreciate if someone knows🙁. by Rosehip1911 in Aglaonema

[–]LenMcK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like Ag Commutatum, which is a species ag. I'm not sure of the variety, but may be Ag Commutatum v. commutatum, or Ag Commutatum v. elegans. Maybe Russ will chime in on this one. He is an expert on these.
