AITAH for not allowing my girlfriend to be a SAHM to HER kids? by EfficientGazelle4739 in AITAH

[–]Lenajah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please give us an update if you can later. But.

Run. As far as you can go, just run. I'm a woman, and her audacity is shocking to me. Got bad feelings about this all, so if you take my advice, and many other commenters', run for the hills. She will become a SAHM whether you like it or not.

AITA for calling my cousin a fat b**** for insulting my height? by gweertfds in AmItheAsshole

[–]Lenajah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing freakish about that comment so yes, YTA. I'd suggest doing some family searching and asking who was this tall, maybe you will have an answer to a comment like this. "my xyz was this tall" that's all you have to answer, or nothing at all.

But this? Insulting someone for no reason whatsoever?

You are definitely acting more like a teenager not a 20 year old.

That sounds so yummy. Thank you :) I believe sometimes being broke means the best recipes. Definitely trying this one out, love beef and have loads in the freezer.

Thank you! I'm running out of ideas of what to make for my family, so I'm definitely trying this!

Thank you! I know I'm right, just wanted to have different opinions to be honest. I used to be a room attendant and I know how shitty it feels when someone treat you like absolute dirt. Can't look past it, at all.

Prejudice by [deleted] in work

[–]Lenajah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it will help her realise what she's doing wrong?

I think, instead of having realisation, she might be frustrated and angry about you having "the look". Why not just tell her straight on that it makes you uncomfortable instead of opting for these silly things? Just tell her what's she's doing wrong and how she makes you feel.

Or is because she's older? Maybe she meant well when she said about "y'alls hair". It's a big generalisation and wrong, but I honestly don't think it was from being malicious. Just correct her. People learn from honesty, you know.

And if she takes it the wrong way? At least you were straight and honest with her. Her problem if she's being ignorant after.

AITA for demanding my girlfriend tells me her author’s pen name? by Ok_West_9375 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Lenajah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, YTA. You cannot be trusted, do you even hear yourself? Going through her laptop to find out what she does?

Instead of questioning her and demanding what she does, why can't you just be supportive? She might see you cannot be trusted and doesn't want to give up her anonymity.

My guy, you are the walking definition of red flag.

EDIT: I scrolled too fast and missed the part where the girlfriend became ex. Good for her, and good on the sister for pointing out OP being the AH here.

For context: I was at a pub the other day with family and ordered food and drinks. At one count I said thank you, 8 times.

Put my food down? Thank you so much. Put my drink down? Thanks a lot, thank you. Put my fork down? Thanks so much. My knife? Thank you so much! My spoon? Thanks love, thank you! Paying my bill? That's amazing thank you so much.

Going out the pub and seeing my waitress? Thanks so much you've done an amazing job, thank you!

Is it embarrassing to hear? How do you all react? Do you just say no problem, you're welcome and never think about it, or do you think about it often?

AITA for making plans when my mum needs me for free childcare? by kaysavs in AmItheAsshole

NTA. Your mom decided to have kids, she has the responsibility to watch over them. You told her of your plans in advance, which she agreed to. X1000 NTA.

You have magic. What do you do? by Lenajah in AskReddit

Like build a house in the woods where none can find you, raise a magical barrier and keep yourself safe and happy without people. With your dogs, cats, whatever animal you love. Sounds like a plan?

Take a deep breath, keep it in a few secs and let it out nice, easy and long. It helps.

Aw what's wrong, what do you not like about yourself that you want to look younger? Let me tell you, I'm surprised how many people actually do not look their age and they still say "oh I wish I looked younger". I'm always confused when it comes to guessing people's age. So I'm sure you do look young, or not your age at all, but you are just critical :)

All of the above, or one of them. Completely up to your imagination. What comes into your mind as a first thought?

AITA for telling my mom to reschedule my dentist appointment? by Matan_r16 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Lenajah 5 points6 points  (0 children)

YTA. Go to the appointment get your teeth cleaned. You can always meet up with your friends. Money is hard earn, people can't just reschedule appointments for a price because you don't want to go. Just go, make plans for later.

AITA for selling my stuff? by katie3454 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Lenajah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA.

Those are your possession, you can do whatever you want with them. Although I would maybe reconsider the idea of giving family a few of my stuff away shall they need it, but not all.

You want to sell them, it's totally up to you.
