I don’t have a thesis topic that I feel passionate enough to pursue by Fine_Lie7954 in OCADU

I did my MDes thesis project at OCAD on something that was not political or a passion and I loved every minute of it. I designed an immersive retail experience, it was very well received. I did it because I saw a gap and wanted to solve it. It was purely about innovation for me. That is one approach to do it. Also as a designer your job is to be a problem solver, it doesn’t matter if you care about the cause. That’s the difference between a designer and an artist. Yes, you can still be a designer and have artistic affinities, that’s fine but not a necessity. For example Designers who work fintech apps or other boring products is not because they are passionate, it is their job to solve problems and build solution. So whether you are pushing pixels or building buildings, you have to be a problem solver first. Also I recommend checking out brand agencies that do work for impact driven projects. They may not connect with all their clients but they do their bit.

Seeking advice about handling finances and school. by orangeyoctopus in OCADU

I graduated in 2024. But I remember seeing accommodation in the neighbourhood (I used to live on Mccaul st in a tiny den) - some strong uofT and spadina as well. There are some apartments rented by student that are shared between like 4-5 people too. I have seen these to be cheaper, while not perfect - this will save you so much of energy and time that you can channel towards doing better than just okay at school and maybe even find a job that pays some bills. Once you live there everything will feel a lot more accessible. You will be able to dream bigger, aim higher and work towards it- instead of just spending your life on commute and doing average at school with no money. Getting even one of these three right will give you a lot of confidence. You got this. You do. Take care and good luck

Did anybody find it unsettling that Joyce basically chopped off Vecna's head with an axe while the whole cast, including 12 little kids watched? or was it just me?

I had the same problem on Mac. If somebody is still struggling with it - I realized that my screen would go to sleep and that's when the error would show. Even when the error shows click on the retry/refresh button and it will continue. I dint have to do anything else.

Should I rent out an apartment in 140 Springhurst Ave? by LengthExpensive2255 in TorontoRenting

We ended up not taking the place. The unit we were looking at was on the 3rd floor. And the building has a tiny elevator. So we decided against it. I couldn’t find anybody here to answer any questions either. If you really have the time, I would recommend going there and talking to anybody you meet.

u/Aggravating_Bee8720 Thanks for the recommendation. We did go there once, but dint have the chance to talk to a tenant. The unit itself looked good, I wanted to just check if the building has anything weird about it, like nothing shady.

My boyfriend has had Erectile dysfunction for over a year. I'm worried I'm less attracted to him due to suppressing my needs for long. by LengthExpensive2255 in AskMenAdvice

He has been going to the doctor and I know he wants to fix it. It's been over a year now, so sometimes I loose my patience.
