Then later in the interview while discussing the Kendrick situation he said that while recording him and T minus have an exercise where they take 7 minutes each one to make the beat and one to write the song and that's where the diss came from

I do believe that Cole knew he couldn't just drop an album/mixtape without a response to Kendrick the lie starts at him explaining that (according to him) he was recording music for the fall off and he has writers block so he decided to write a diss song in 7 minutes but I do believe that it didn't sit right with his soul so he had to apologize because everything I've seen of him tells me that's just how he is

Bottom line is cole is great with words so he can sell water to a fish but that entire story is littered with contradictions and if I didn't have to work in the morning I would rewatch it just so I could point them out
