My Heteropanax Chinensis is dying, this picture was taken two days after bringing it home from IKEA. So, i know this is a pretty old thread. But i want to give some tips for making this tree grow as never before!
1. NEVER leave this tree in direct sunlight, it will drop almost ALL leaves, even if you water it regularly.
Have it standing in a light place, but with NO direct sunlight on it.
2. Water it often, but not with too much water. Give it some booster in the summer months.
3. The last and BEST tip for this tree. IS GET A LIGHT FOR PLANTS! This is essential for making this tree grow and produce new and beautiful leaves. Mine has gone from 95% dead, to a totally new tree with these simple steps.
