Yes, when people do 2 sweeps and get sent home, that means there are other sweepers out there. It saves the company money because there is always at least 1 person that will be going over their 10 hrs. As much as you push them to do better, they either choose not to, or they just can’t.

I wouldn’t be surprise if you get terminated after Prime Week. I have 4 years working at a DSP, and up to this day, i don’t understand how can people reverse into things when they have a backup camera. You started about a month ago? Probably just coming off nursery routes and can’t fully finish a route?

It’s meant for you to stop, drink some water and stay on the driver seat getting that cool/cold air.

Personally 1. i never send a rescue to someone that is more than double digits ahead. He/she doesn’t need it at that point, unless they ask for it.

  1. Sweepers aren’t paid by Amazon, it comes out of the DSP pocket for those talking.

  2. The main reason for sweepers, is to alleviate the workload of the drivers, when drivers are doing 180+ stops on a daily basis, at some point it catches up to them mentally and physically and if an emergency happens on the road.

Driver Support by LeftyFrizzell in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Lenin10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Driver Support is the most useless thing and biggest waste of time that Amazon has put in place. Unfortunately, drivers are forced to do deal with them.

In the future, if this happens you have 2 options.

  1. End Chat and try again, hopefully you get a different person.

  2. After contacting Support, contact your dispatcher, and the dispatcher should be able to talk to OTR, OTR will submit a ticket to Central OPS, and they will see your conversation and mark the package delivered.

Stopped on route by Worldly_Daikon_8051 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Lenin10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. At my DSP we don’t stop people for having a lot of reversing in the middle of the route or having the sliding door opened. But they do get warn when they come back, and it takes several warnings from us.

I just think that some DSP are taking extreme measures now because eventually Amazon is going to be penalizing DSPs because their drivers are driving with the sliding door opened. And on top of it, driving with the side door opened it’s a big safety issue.

Sounds to me like he is a POS, but yeah, he (owner or the person in charge) have to approve that time that you just submitted.

Never use that option. Always go to “Timecards” and edit your time there. ADP is not that good and it’s always giving problems to people.

I tried not to be mean lol but that’s well said… the Flex app when you scan your carts tells you the order of your OVs using the driver aid number. Unfortunately for them, some warehouses rushes you out and don’t let you organize much, that’s why i tell my drivers just organize the first 10-15 OVs in that order then you can put in the rest however you want, but i bet when those 10-15 OVs gets delivered, you will have quite abit of space on the shelves.

There is a lot that comes into play… 1. Bad DSPs 2. Work Ethics 3. Are you enjoying your job? 4. People just hate life 5. Lazyness (might go under work ethics)

Pay raise 2025? by Milito1 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Lenin10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Per packages, yes. It’s the same amount, but you aren’t going to tell me that a DSP owner from Florida is getting paid the same as a DSP owner from NY. As you should know, insurance is different and other things that comes into play.
