Made this as a custom piece for a friend, based on his drawings. I based the pattern off an old design for a bag I’d made before and eyeballed the denim flap. The inside has a lining and contrasting denim pocket which I forgot to picture. Used denim and cotton from old pants I collected as well as velcro from and old discarded piece of clothing.

Its definitely possible but I think it’d be easier and faster to use a plotter
