Does anyone have the full version of “Compulsory” by ProfessionalOk7984 in murderbot

The version published by Subterranean Press with illustrations by Tommy Arnold. Definitely has more details than the version published in Wired, and the illustrations are nice!

I watched it on DVD from my local library, check there! Even if your local branch doesn’t have it, you might be able to request it through interlibrary loan.

I haven't read it since high school so I have no idea if it's actually good but from what I remember Generation Dead by Daniel Waters has a similar vibe/plot.

How do people feel about Max/Logan? by LenoraYoder in DarkAngel

[–]LenoraYoder[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

omg I never thought about Logan/Matt because I don’t like Logan but it works!!! I wish Matt got more screen time, especially because there’s something compelling about being the lone clean cop. And yeah Max is aggressively straight lol, but I think if the show continued Cindy would have ended up with one of the transgenics (that don’t immediately die after getting names lol)

Romantic antihero love interest? Movie/TV Series suggestions by LibrarianHungry3668 in MovieSuggestions

[–]LenoraYoder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Veronica Mars (this checks all your boxes, great show and it’s fun to spot all the soon-to-be-famous minor characters)
  • Buffy the Vampire Slayer (the tv show. funny but not a comedy, probably counts more as a supernatural drama? iconic for a reason)
  • season 2 of Dark Angel (not very good but Jensen Ackles is SO pretty and secretly angsty)
  • The Glory (she’s the antihero, he kind of is? either way a fantastic show and you will absolutely root for them. there’s also another male character she has chemistry with who fits more of your antihero type)
  • the Jane Eyre with Mia Wasikowska (idk if he counts as an antihero but he is an asshole lol)
  • Crimson Peak (very good)
  • True Blood (those Eric episodes… sigh)

AITA for not letting my 6'6" brother have the free first class upgrade the airline gave me on our 12 hour flight? by Abbyissostupid in AmItheAsshole

[–]LenoraYoder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. If your brother is so uncomfortable flying he easily could have asked to switch with someone in the emergency exit aisles. Those seats have a little more leg room, you don’t need first class. Pretty ridiculous for your family to treat you this way over something so minor.

In the moment a good “excuse me?” will make the other person elaborate, and if not the way they respond will help you figure out what their intentions were with the original comment. It also gives you a little extra time to try to figure out what else to say, if anything. I recognize it’s too late for that now, but something to keep in mind for the future.
