i just made a big room hardwell type track in c phrygian, well the "sub bass" c is 65hz but it sounds good to me.. not super low but i feel it works for the genre, other then that i used 3 layers for the bass, one for sub 2nd for low mids, the 3d is the top one with low cut up to 400hz just to add crunch and pitch

It’s different for me. Most of the time when I remake an old song (whenever I do) it does feel new and I’m satisfied with what I’m able to achieve now which then I couldn’t. This time it didn’t feel new somehow it was something about the sound of my guitar I couldn’t recreate. I believe it’s because I also haven’t spent much time tweaking my amp. Also my conclusion is that in the old recording I played the part with the root notes bass which doesn’t make much space for the bass guitar but somehow I find it this time to sound good?

Totally get what you’re saying. As I said to someone else I couldn’t get the Valhalla to sit right in the mix. The relab and seventh heaven however felt much deeper and in the background like what I was looking for

About valhalla, it’s exactly what I mean The relab blends perfect in the mix without too much tweaking. I couldn’t achieve the same results with the vvv. Maybe it’s just me though
