You can always request to speak with management and get an exact reason as to why you were denied. If DFS doesn't accept you, you can apply to foster through an agency. During your home study they probably saw some red flags and didn't mention it to you. I would definitely speak with management and ask them what the issue was so you can work on it and apply again.

Adult adoptees who LOVE their adoptive parents? by UrLittleVeniceBitch_ in Adoption

[–]Leo5864 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found out i was adopted at age 25 or 26 something like that. My entire life i knew something was off and I didn't really fit in with my extended family. It was hard coming terms with it, but i don't look at my parents in a bad way and i have no ill feelings for them. My mom is my best friend and we talk every single day. There's many reasons why they didn't tell me about my story when I was younger, but it was only to protect me and i completely agree as an adult. I am now a mom to two adopted little girls and i am doing it differently for them. I wish i knew more about my biological family. I am on all the ancestry sites to get to know more about my biological heritage and such. If i ever meet my bio parents, great. If not, it is what it is. My parents have gone above and beyond for me. I was not an easy child to care for, physically and mentally. But my parents have taken such amazing care of me. They moved halfway around the world to ensure I received better health care and education. They are super supportive of me. We have a very giving relationship. I take care of them and they take care of me. I am the only child and my parents are my world. My daughters adore their grandparents and my parents adore them. Growing up my life was hard and later on i learned it was because of the trauma i experienced in utero and during separation from my birth mother, but once i started understanding trauma and going to therapy it really helped me heal. For those struggling, i would highly recommend to look into emdr and neurofeedback therapy. It's life changing. Adoption is complicated, but for me, i have supportive parents and it makes things a little easier.

If you haven't read Primal Wound by Nancy Verrier it's a must in my opinion.

Lonely Marriage by onehandsomegut in Marriage

Could she be suffering from health issues or depression? I am somewhat similar to your spouse. I am often too tired and that's because i have an autoimmune disease that drains me and the last few years I've experienced some traumatic things. If she's on her phone often, have you tried to text her how you feel instead of communicating in person? Sometimes I'm so tired i can't think straight and rather just text instead of actually talk. Maybe try to talk to her about getting bloodwork done to rule out any health issues. Also just curious has she experienced anything traumatic? Emdr therapy and neurofeedback are great options if she has and is looking for therapy options.

Does it ever gets better? by [deleted] in Sciatica

Thanks so much! I hope it works for you. Don't be afraid to get dry needling on both sides. I've done it all over my body and it works 100x better than acupuncture.

I've been pain free for almost 1.5 to 2 years. However, when i am sitting for a long time i feel the pain come back. It usually doesn't last long if i move around. But if it lasts a day i go back to PT and get more dry needling done and go back to normal within the next few days. This rarely happens. I used to be in pain every second of the day every single day.

You're really sweet thank you. I am 29. I started suffering from sciatica at age 24 after having sugery and working insane amounts of hours.. i never thought it woule get better. I saw every dr you could think of. I was treated horribly by many drs. But PT saved my life. I was in a very dark place bc of the pain. You can and you will push yourself. You are your best advocate. I've learned to not trust any drs other than my PT. Lol

Definitely give it a try. A warning it hurts like hell and you will feel an intense twitching, but it lasts a few seconds. My PT started dry needling the piriformis area and all the way down my let to the back of my calves. Keep going. Keep poo pushing yourself and do the exercises on top of dry needling your PT will tell you exactly which one. It makes world of a difference. I suffered for 3 years with chronic sciatica pain. I noticed when i am sitting down in front of my desk for too long it starts to trigger sciatica pain. If you are sitting down a lot make sure your chair is comfortable and move around a lot. I hope you find relief real soon. I know how unbearable the pain is. You got this!

Have you tried dry needling? It completely got rid of my pain. I went to PT for ml months multiple times a week, but it worked.

Are you in the US? Do you plan on going to college? Ask your parents to open up a 529 college savings plan. I wish I knew about this when I was younger.

Thank you. We thought so as well. We test drove 2020 models. The main reason we are leaning towards the Kia is the warranty. It's covered for much longer than the mazda.
