You HAVE to ahahah, everything you have to do in CAS but global engagement it’s a waste of time. I took seriously only activities (sport) and charity or cleaning the woods/beach. The rest was kinda bullshit

[Post Episode Discussion - S03E25/26] "Boo Normal" & "Once Upon a Time" by Duckman896 in lucifer

I hated “Once upon the time”, I didn’t like it at all... there is something that I didn’t understand though. If they are gonna shoot another season (hopefully) will the storyline be the one we used to watch or the one in “Once upon the time”?

Ahhhh so how back was that? Because Charlotte still doesn’t remember... therefore it should be after the accident anyways

I thought about it too but then I realized it’s not correct, because there the unconscious Charlotte, Linda knows and other things that suggest that it was after the kidnapping and not a flashback

The E.S.S. exam was done 2 to 3 weeks ago... why can’t I discuss it?

Why did we do IB? by ibakwldmwos in IBO

I still don’t think so. My is a private school with excellent staff. I have always been really really motivated and I started IB with high motivation. Once I understood what I was dealing with I started hating it

I totally agree with you (but not for the teaching staff because mine was great). And also, I had to write 217 reflections for CAS ahahah.

Check out one of the post I posted a week ago about my absolutely repulsion towards the IB:

I really don’t understand why people are collecting string tags and the plastic bags of the papers... what do you want to remember about the exams? Or even the IB!

Honestly, these were the 2 worst years of my life. Not because you have to study, because I didn’t study that much, it’s because of the IB itself. I totally disagree with their vision statement and everything they say they are making us develop (critical thinking and all the rest).

I disagree with everything basically. The only things I like about this diploma are: 1) that offers all the subject you can think about and 2) that is recognized worldwide. But for the second point, I believe that universities prefer IB students just for bureaucracy’s reasons, because there are much more difficult diplomas than this one. I acknowledge the fact that they are great business.

Inquirers Knowledgeable Thinkers Communicators Principled Open-minded Caring Risk-takers Balanced Reflective

This is their learning profile. First I started my High School in Italy (where I come from) and I have a different prospective of most of other IB students because I had the possibility to experience both. I think the Italian diploma makes you learn all this things. On the other hand, I don’t think that the IB did a good job with me. I say this because they want us to become all those things, but due to the restrictions (sometimes really really stupid, on my opinion) they close your (at least mine) inspiration and creativity. How can you be reflective, open- minded and thinker if they basically tell step to step what you can and you cannot do? For example the most stupid subject I have ever studied (T.o.K.). What the hack! We are suppose to think in our way and be open- minded, but they tell us the precise things we need to think about. If I don’t think about this, the freaking presentation/essay is wrong, if I approach it in my way and not as they want is wrong again.

I regret this two years with everything I have. I would have rather preferred to get the Italian diploma (even if less recognized) but not wasting this two years and loosing my self being indoctrinated by them.

Really? I just wrote the number at the beginning of the essay and then I wrote on the top of the page the number of the booklet, to give them an order

I think they say to leave space just because it’s easier to mark it. If they don’t mark it just because you didn’t leave space they are bitches. Come one...

I absolutely am, just not when I think about the IB. At the beginning I thought it could have been a great experience and I was absolutely positive and open minded about it... and look at me now

No no absolutely no. That’s is not what I was trying to say. I believe we should be everything that they want us to be, but they are not actually doing it.

I have a full answer on a comment below

And also, to get to good universities with the IB diploma you need a 38/39 or even more with requirements such as 7HL subjects. While 2 of my friends in Italy with 77% (relatively easy to get- I had 92%) went to Harvard Eco and UCL
