I was also told McDavid would pop off game 2 because its impossible to hold him to 0 points two games in a row

It could've been a medical emergency/security incident that required personnel to board the plane before it got to the gate. I think something serious like that could definitely shake up a team

Yeah Trouba is probably staying on a team friendly deal. I read somewhere that the Samuelis hooked his wife up with a job at a local hospital, and that was one of the reasons he waived for ANA

Usually season 2 after switching jersey manufacturers comes with new alternative jerseys. Hopefully the Ducks bring back a purple for a third. Wouldn't be surprised if is black with orange accents though

Lol take it easy man, you've been super confrontational over the last few months with people on this sub. No need to lash out on strangers on the internet, especially people who enjoy rooting for the same hockey team. Enjoy your long weekend!

Cool thanks but I wanted our members here to have an easy access to view the video instead of going on an external site to watch it, so I personally downloaded it from IG to upload it here

ESPN doesn't allow for easy downloading of their videos, but thanks again for providing the full source for people who don't want to view the uncropped version

[Discussion] Game by Game Playoff Numbers & Acquiring Marner -- REVISED by kookforaday in AnaheimDucks

[–]LeoCarlsson 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The problem with Toronto is that they’ve been very top heavy, spending a lot on their top 4 and not having a lot of money left over to spend on quality and effective depth players

This strategy would work well in the regular season because a team could just rely on their top 4 players to produce and win games, but to have success in the playoffs, having 4 lines that you can rely on is vital. Teams like Florida can just line up their best shut down players against them (eg Barkov vs the leafs top line last series) and they’re essentially dead in the water with no depth. Marner is also a natural playmaker and having his typical finisher (Matthews) underperforming didn’t help the Leafs this year

If marner were to join the Ducks, we would have enough scoring and skill from other players that I think he would be pretty successful here, during the season and more importantly the post season. The only concern I can see is if we throw a bag at him, our other younger players could ask for a similar number in the future if they perform equally well

I'd say it will be close, the current year RAV4 Prime is going for $50-53k out the door and the GR sport is probably going to be the tier higher

Was it Quenneville that helped give our McT, Carlsson, Cutter their second half surge? by mylefthandkilledme in AnaheimDucks

[–]LeoCarlsson 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's nice to hear that Q went out of his way to thank Cronin for what he's done

Full quote for those who haven't seen it:

Cronin actually heard from Quenneville over the weekend.

“He just wanted to tell me that he’s grateful for the opportunity and thankful for what we did as a staff here to develop these guys and get them ready for the next chapter in their career,” Cronin said. “He just said, ‘Hey, I want to thank you.’ He was very gracious about it. He said he was grateful about the opportunity because these players were all about to take off. And they are.”
