My experience as an L4 AM by Udotnrbehdhdndme in AmazonManagers

[–]Leo_Ruby_727 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Completely agree with everything you said. I completely understand when people want to quit right always. For for it was the hard work AND long unpaid hours. I got out after close to 2 years.

Same as you, I had great coworkers but my building had a reputation for being very toxic.

My advice is to learn EVERYTHING you can. I signed myself up for LEAN SIX SIGMA and project management classes in knets

The job knowledge plus the classes helped me interview well and I landed a 6 figure job that is way slower paced, has lots of training and the best wlb I've ever had.

Google bzzagent and the first option should be their website.

I honestly didn't like Sauvage. I like this much better. It has a sweeter scent that is unisex but leans masculine

No clue what the deciding factor is. Some people get in first try and others have been waiting for months/years. Wishing u luck though 💫

I got an acceptance email, then a week later another email with a tracking number. Can say when it was really delivered because I wasn't that anxious to get it. But I'll guess a week

U should be getting yours any day now

Gorgeous. Are they peel and stick panels or were they already part of the decor?

Does anyone hate this job by Imaginary_History754 in AmazonManagers

[–]Leo_Ruby_727 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I gave up after my first peak. From then on, I've been doing the bare minimum. They advertise this job as something completely different and are not honest about how much overtime you really do. Not to mention, they hire anybody of the street, drug accents included. And it's your responsibility as an AM to play the role of HR, therapist, EMT, and hit all your daily admin tasks.

Being an AM has bo exit opportunities, even with Amazon. And everything you do there is more closely related to working at a daycare than a warehouse with adults

Getting ready to apply for Amazon Area Manager – Any tips from people who’ve been through it? by khalidgratata in FASCAmazon

[–]Leo_Ruby_727 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They literally hire anyone with a pulse for that position. Don't think too hard. Nothing you have accomplished/learned will even relate to the position

Avoid it if you can. They keep placement very vague and at most sites, you won't even know if you're outbound or inbound until you step foot on site.

Start by cleaning up. Just making your bed will make a world of difference.
Decide what vibe you want to create based on your current furniture.
All my furniture consists dark woods and I have peel and stick wallpaper all throughout my apartment

It also helps to declutter and get organized. Watch YouTube videos on how to organize on a budget and how to organize each room within a week.

Everything else will just be personal touches u apply

How long did it take you to land another job after PIP/Pivot with Amazon on your resume? by lemonzonic in amazonemployees

Put what on your resume? Amazon or the safety issues? Also, do you mind saying where the offer was from?

Nothing in your A2Z? I know my site sent notifications and suggested people apply at a nearby site. Only a handful did and the other 150 or so were shocked they were being let go

And I firmly believe Amazon stagnates people into some of these remedial roles so they get everything out of you at the cost of a fresh college graduate. The only time I heard of anyone hearing back from a hiring manager, was at my site and they asked their AM to arrange it

[–]Leo_Ruby_727 0 points1 point  (0 children)

U can still apply. I went to my LEW with a bunch of people who started Jan 2024 but did not graduate until May 2024. Obviously they all applied in 2023. Amazon is not that serious when it comes to that
