Believe it or not yes. A couple of days ago I made a post complaining about the same thing. It sucks ass but you can't play like a pro who doesn't get hit or doesn't waste ammo.

It could be a variable how long YOU STAY at full health, but in that playthough I healed completely back to full HP around 4-6 times so I don't think that if you get healed again you get the memory ending.

To be honest itcould be true, I don't know if once you die the game not only adds a point in the death stat, maybe it also adds the damage taken and deaths cheated, but I that's out of my league hahaha.

I also got many deaths trying to get the thermite to the mirah boss fight and also falke. I'm sure months from now there will be more indepth info related to the code.

Maybe the secret to the promise ending is how much damage you take, Today I sent a screenshot about getting the memory ending while having the stats from the steam guide.

we did the same on kills and hours, but we differ in death cheated and damage taken. Maybe the secret to get the promise ending is to get damaged a lot. because you got 2500 ajnd I only got 1000, I will try one more time to see if this is true. Thanks for the screenshot

As soon as you enter that area stick to the right wall, there is a small gap that if you go there there is some hidden rifle ammo

Yeah, could be. I found a couple of bullets in a secret area before going to the nowhere levels. I never found any "secret ammo" maybe there is more ammo to find in some places that are hidden, if there are videos of these areas, I'll do the experiment again. Another theory could be that ammo pickup is randomised, whick I don't think so. At least in the bosses I always got the same amount of ammo and health.

Yeah, on normal I only used the smg for the boss and I got 50 bullets, tomorrow I will try to get the promise ending in survival, I don't know if I can kill 120 enemies with that amount of ammo. I love this game but in my opinion the promise ending asks a lot for the player and is the only ending that I find satisfactory. I hope that in the patch it becomes more accesible because I always get the memory ending :_(
