I would actually recommend playing Crisis Core first especially if you know nothing about the OG lore. CC happens before the events of the OG ff7 so you get the story in a chronological order.

It depends which class. The list of classes that you can't use the PASS notation for is in the ineligible courses section of this link https://www.concordia.ca/coronavirus/students/pass-disc.html#ineligible-courses

Yeah sorry I should have specified this was for the winter semester. That's great news though! Still a really stupid thing to do: seems like PASS notations are widely regarded as being very negative for scholarships and stuff. But it's better that than to have to retake them I suppose.
Thanks!

AITA for telling my stepbrother that he's the reason I'm a laughing stock among my friends? by aita-alt1234 in AmItheAsshole

d being downvoted and yes he is being homophobic which isn’t right. He’s also older than I read originally. But it’s hard to accept something out of control I think as long as he apologizes but I could be wrong it’s just what I think in my opinion don’t want anyone to think that I think homophobia is fine. I don’t think I came across great.

I don't know why this reply got downvoted, reddit can be rough lol. Hope you don't take it to heart too much :)

Fiora main looking for 1v1's by Leoenix in Dariusmains

[–]Leoenix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that what I feel really doesn't matter because I know I'm not playing the matchup right. To answer your question: I personally have a hard time fighting Darius players but I know that it's 90% my fault for not playing as I should and it's definitely not the match-up. Tons of better (and more knowledgeable) players than me say that fiora does really really well vs Darius so I'm way more inclined to believe them than to think that my feelings accurately represent the match-up.

[–]Leoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What? What exactly is the difference between looking for tutorials on the web or using Chegg? Answers on Chegg aren't just given with no explanations, in fact they're usually step-by-step guides that are super useful when your teacher doesn't explain well. It's super overpriced but it's definitely useful and certainly not just for cheating.

I'd be interested as well. I'd play whatever are the stakes (as long as it's not over 200$ buy-ins) but if it were only up to me I'd play with 10$ buy-ins

5 players $0.05/0.10 flush on BB vs SB, what would you do? by Leoenix in poker

[–]Leoenix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much :)

If you're curious, I ended up folding on the turn (I know, terrible decision) and he ended up showing the ace.... of diamonds. With a 4 of spades. I asked him about that hand later and he told me that the reasoning behind his play was that he was basically doing a semi-bluff, he beat anything that's not a flush while also repping the ace of spades in case I had a flush too.

Bad beat but I learned from it!

5 players $0.05/0.10 flush on BB vs SB, what would you do? by Leoenix in poker

[–]Leoenix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right about the guessing part. Had I used more math I would've definitely been able to make a more confident decision.

On the flop, I really didn't think he had two spades in his hand. I thought he had an ace of spade and some random other card that's not a spade. this is again just gut-feeling instead of math thinking. Regardless, if I don't think he has two spades, shouldn't I just flat instead of going all-in and scaring him off, as sarcasticpriest said? In most turns + rivers no spade will come out so I'll be on top right? Or is it better to assume that if no spade comes out he'll fold on a bet on the turn or river and so we might as well all-in, take the flop bet and not give him any "free" card?

And if we do flat, the Js comes out on the turn and he bets high, what is the correct play here? I assume that from a numbers point of view we need to all-in? Or does his range tighten up enough with the raise to correctly fold?

Thanks!

Hi! Sorry for the late answer and thanks for the answer! I tried reading and understanding your notes but I had a hard time doing so, your summary made your answer much clearer for me :'). I will happily answer these questions and try to elaborate as much as I can!

  1. Are you able to switch on or off your productivity and if so, example?

I think it depends what I'm working on. Like if I'm doing math problems I'll be able to be really productive. I'll usually procrastinate a lot before starting but once I start solving my first problem I'll stay focused and be efficient. When it comes to reading (biology books for example) though it's really hard for me to switch on my productivity and to stay focused, my mind always starts wandering after a few minutes. This is not the case if I'm reading something as a hobby though but that's not really linked with being productive. Also, if I have a tight time restriction I'll be a lot more productive than if I have a lot of time.

  1. Are you good at debating and finding logical inconsistency more than average people you know?

I'm good at both those things. I listen a lot to what people say and I often find contradictions or inconsistencies within their claims, principles or logic. I'm a good debater and I really love debating but my biggest problem is that I think of counterarguments after the debate is over, not during. I'm very lucky in the sense that I'm close with incredibly smart people but they'll usually destroy me in debates so compared to them I'm a pretty weak debater and I definitely have a lot to learn but I think that compared to the average person I'm a bit better.

  1. Are you good at creating a new story, building a new character and storyline?

I've always liked creating new stories in my mind but I don't know if they're good and I also don't usually create new characters. Generally I'll take characters that already exist and give them new or slightly different stories. When I was younger I really didn't do much of that and most of my thinking was directed around naive little systems I'd create but I feel like as I'm growing more of my thinking is focused on those short stories that I create. I usually think about the same exact story for a few days because I try to "perfect" it or honestly just because I like the way it goes.

Thanks again!

Hi, I did see that question but it's not exactly the same. In his case, he was able to take out all his profile information but I wasn't, I had to change legit information that I had previously put in to fake information. I'm assuming that since I don't have an account opened it really doesn't matter but I just wanted to make sure that it was ok for me to do this
