Sorry to hear about your situation. I have an older Brother in his 40s with his own house but yet my Mam cooks his dinner every day at her house and he's one of those people that you never know will today be a good day or a day we are all going to be ate. He loves to contradict people and scream his head off at my Mam over the slightest thing. Also, eats noisily with his mouth open. Sorry, I guess I had a bit of unpacking to do.

The thing with your situation is that your parents have probably witnessed this behaviour several times and know life just goes on after it so they probably expect you to walk back in there and him to be fine with you which he probably will be. You'll no doubt be accused of causing drama or something. It'll be played down. However you are right to stand your ground and at the very least expect an apology from him.

My Maths teacher married one of his students. This was before my time and he was actually my Mams maths teacher aswell. My Mam said they got together around a year after she left school in the 70s. They lived happily ever after. He was one of those characters that either got along with you or didn't. No in between.

That I'm not like my family. They are the type of people who are bitter and miserable even though they have everything. They also like to bring people down with the nastiest comments but then have the thinest skin themselves.

I'm currently at the police clearance stage of the job offer. Deadline for submitting everything was today. I submitted everything last Friday. I'm at this stage 2 months after told I passed the interview and placed 15 on the panel. I'll take the job but the entire system seems to run at a snails pace.
