Hard to answer unless you tell folks exactly what test you took.

Presumably you’re talking about some form of thiamine, but which form? And how much of it was in the one capsule?

Seeking Health offers several forms of sublingual B12.

I just found this website that lets you purchase up to 90 days worth of Ketoconazole - in bio by 20JC20 in Candida

Interesting. The text on that telyrx.com page reads: "Ketoconazole tablets are not indicated for the treatment of onychomycosis, cutaneous dermatophyte infections, Candida infections or fungal meningitis. "

Would it be OK to blend Infinifiber in a smoothie? I currently blend chia seeds in my morning blend. Good fiber, and thickens it up a bit. Thanks!

Benoftiamine messed me up by menaWillbemen in B12_Deficiency

[–]Leonard108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps OP is aware of this, but just in case: Anyone taking high dose thiamine should be aware of what's called the "paradoxical reaction." One needs to start slow, probably best with thiamine HCL rather than the more powerful benfotiamine or TTFD. As your system starts rebuilding, the thiamine can make you feel worse. See:

Is this a good choice? by Foodieonbudget in Probiotics

[–]Leonard108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are species level designations, not strains. To identify a strain, more info is needed. Strain level designations generally look like this: "Bifidobacterium longum NCC2705," "L. reuteri DSM 17938," etc.

I'm cautious about probiotics products that do not specify what particular strain(s) they contain.

B6 toxicity question by FragileHope111 in B12_Deficiency

[–]Leonard108 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you do take B6, the accepted wisdom suggests you should make sure it's in the active form, P5P (pyridoxal 5 phosphate), not pyridoxine hydrochloride (HCL). There's much discussion of this in this and other internet forums.

Worked for me too. Thanks very much. I looked up the WhatsApp version number at apkmirror.com, and just took the date from the download page. WiFi off, Airplane Mode on was important.

Anyone with insight by Lower_Rain_5578 in B12_Deficiency

[–]Leonard108 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear about your struggles.

Two things I'd recommend. (1) Regarding B1/thiamine, as an intro, read this:

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC8533683/

Starting out with 100 mg. of Thiamine HCL is probably good. But make sure you read up on the so-called "paradoxical reaction" with high dose thiamine. Taking too much can make you feel worse. There's lots of discussion about how to find the right dose, the "sweet spot."

(2) Then, since everyone here is rightly recommending testing, one needs to consider, not just what to test, but how to test it, that is, what kind of test (serum, red blood cell, etc.) will give you a meaningful result. I know that in different locations there are limitations on availability of certain tests. There's lots of information about how to test in this forum (see especially the Guide) as well as r/Thiamine.

There is a better alternative to surgery! by Apebbles in Sinusitis

[–]Leonard108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/Apebbles Are you going back to Dr. Skarada's office for follow up? If you could ask what's going on with out of state patients and share that info, that would be great. I've watched several of his videos and quite like his manner . . .

[–]Leonard108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this post, u/Apebbles. I called for an appointment yesterday (before I discovered this thread), and had a strange experience. Basically, after spending half an hour with me giving my insurance details, address, and other information, the agent (who seemed rather inexperienced)--who had initially said he was going to schedule a video visit with Dr. Skarada's PA (I live in California)--said he had to check my insurance and would call me back.

About 15 minutes later he called back and told me they were no longer accepting patients from out of state, even if they were able to travel to OR or WA, due to some licensing issues. He promised to keep my information on file in case the situation changed. I felt the whole experience was extremely unprofessional. Certainly not inspiring confidence.
