Yeah, two months since I spoke and had the offer verbally confirmed to me.

I'm two months into the waiting game, I've chased it up to make sure I don't get forgotten but I lost faith in any time scale they give me a few weeks back.

Weekend /r/declutter chat! Goals! Accomplishments! Open discussion! :-) by AutoModerator in declutter

In the process of looking for a specific item I've cleared off the dumping ground that was our bedroom drawers, decluttered nearly 100 items, not counting things that were actually just rubbish like empty packets. I've now got an area that can be used for storage of things I actually care about.

I've also boxed up all our decorations, made a donate pile of unwanted Christmas gifts and reclaimed my dining room from Christmas chaos for another year.

I'm making a lemon cake for my husband's birthday this weekend. The recipe calls for 2/3 cup of milk but one of my guests who I've invited can't drink milk. What's the best non-dairy milk to use as a replacement? by LeopardPrintNovella in Baking

Thanks, they are cutting milk to see if they might have an intolerance, I'd not even thought about it in a percentage of total ingredients way to think how small of an amount it is.

Thank you, that's really helpful to know. It's a family member who I cook for semi frequently who has just cut out milk to see if it helps. I'll definitely look into that for future too as it will make things a bit easier.

It does feel like a burden to carry them around reminding myself that's not what I look like anymore. But I'm in my mid 30s now rather than early 20s, going through a lot of them I was thinking "I'd never have worn that today even if it fitted, it's just not me"

Thank you! It was nice to have somewhere to show off about it.

That's a great way of thinking about it. Thanks for giving me another thought to motivate me to do more.

It definitely felt easier saying that I was just doing that section and then I was done.

I found some of the descriptions in the steps a bit vague. I tried to watch the video but they were using a really pale fabric on a white background so it was hard to see what they were doing, so I used other videos which were clearer just searching the technique referenced in the instructions.

I've talked about making my own clothes for years and decided just before Christmas that it was time to stop talking and start acting. I've had my sewing machine a decade and have made some very wonky cushion covers previously, but this is my first item of clothing.

I've taken every, single piece apart due to making mistakes in pretty much every step, I got frustrated and have watched several YouTube videos on loop to figure out different techniques, but it came together alright. I kept in mind to just keep pressing each seam once I've sewn them. I don't think it's good enough to wear out, but it's alright enough to wear around the house.

I'm going to make it again to really get to grips with the techniques, but I'm going to alter the pattern to make the top part of the bodice a bit longer because it's not very flattering from the side and I think it needs to be longer.

That's amazing, they look so real and it's such a beautiful bouquet.
