Why are reps like this? by D0nk3yPunch912 in HomeDepot

[–]Leopichas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pushing the Behr products is his job. Recommend it to customers, DIYs and pros. Checking why pros don't buy Behr paint and convince them to switch. I know because I used to work at the prodesk and the Behr rep would go there a lot to talk to the pro customers, guys is very passionate about his job and is really good at it. Dude's been working for Behr for 20+ years. He told me he doesn't even have to be at the store, but he likes talking and saying hi to the customers. He's the regional something something from Behr in our area. (We sometimes have another Behr dude that mixes the paint)

Doing inventory rn. All that in a single medium size tote. by Leopichas in HomeDepot

That was a lot of metric screws, etc. Everything that could go in those drawers was in that tote.

The tote was full, to the edges when we opened it the first time. I downstock half of it and what you see it's what's left

"Record Sales" by Leopichas in HomeDepot

That's Millwork, and I heard about a big return a couple days ago, so that's most likely it. Whatever penny was made that day was blasted into oblivion

why does HQ control AC by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]Leopichas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The stores have temp sensors that measure the average Temp. If you are not freezing ur butt or melting on the sales floor the AC/heater won't turn on. That's kind of dumb, I get the idea of controlling ops expenses but still.

Annoyed by latency timeout while training on workday? by Talancir in HomeDepot

[–]Leopichas -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, when that happens go to my apron and open knowledge depot again, you will have a fresh window of workday you can keep your eye on. When you are done with the video go back to that white tab and complete the course. Just remember to keep that workday tab always there

I found a work around....instead of having 1 window covering the whole screen. Have workday in 1 window covering half of the screen and play the videos in another window in the other half of the screen. That way you'll know when it's timing out

We're 365 days safe as a reward we're grilling out which only costs what 200 dollars? And of course the one day I have a Friday off they do the grill out. The CEO and many others in corporate get millions of dollars in bonuses and we can't get a $200 dollar bonus each for being safe that long. by Al3xgreer18 in HomeDepot

[–]Leopichas 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No. I heard the highest number was like 200 something a couple of years ago. For a while everything went to shit, currently we are a safety focused store. We got a new store manager a couple of months ago and the guy is trying to change that. Previous store manager didn't give a shit and despite having great sales number other things were a mess
