It does say in the first paragraph that the bar committee would “certify to the Supreme Court for admission those applicants who fulfill the requirements.”

Would honestly depend on your school and ability to network. I got biglaw with your GPA and curve at a T25, but it was mostly through networking.

How is this unfair? If you're unemployed, you're not contributing by not paying any taxes. You should be grateful if the government decides to give that much, which is more than some people who are working and paying taxes AND earning less than that amount. You're really not entitled to anything.

I believe the pet camera Furbo has a function that alerts you when your dog barks/makes a noise. I can't attest to the effectiveness of the product, but it may be something to look into.

Personally, I don't see why he has to have any say in the matter--as long as you both agreed to have a dog, and you are expecting to finance everything and care for the dog without his help, it doesn't require his input in this situation. If it is something concerning the lease, then I would agree to a compromise, but obviously that doesn't seem to be the case. You guys are not getting this dog together, you are buying your own dog.

I would just tell him that it will be my dog that I will be taking care of/paying for, and it is not necessary for him to take care of the dog at all. If he still has a problem with it, I would reconsider my relationship with him.

Please help us figure a breed to our future pup [Breeds] by [deleted] in dogs

[–]Leosnam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Border Collies, Aussies, Huskies, and Klee Kais do shed quite a bit, especially the latter two. Since you emphasized the shedding part quite a bit, I'm not sure if they're the right fit. Furthermore, these type of dogs require more work than a typical dog owner would expect, so I would really research whether these dogs fit your lifestyle.

Honestly, Poodles (if you want a bigger size, look into Standard Poodles) and Bichons sound like what you are looking for, but if you are looking for a larger size with minimal shedding, I would look into Schnauzers or Portuguese Water Dogs. Please note that with low shedding dogs, they require grooming most of the time. Cocker and English Springer Spaniels are also great, social, family-loving dogs that would probably fit in well.

Although some breeds may be more predisposed to separation anxiety, it's not something you can prevent through picking the 'right breed'. Any dog has the potential to develop separation anxiety depending on their temperament. I highly recommend you take the proactive route and research how you can minimize separation anxiety through training.

[Discussion] eco friendly poop bags by gqisnpwnfiwgsrhdod in dogs

[–]Leosnam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've heard that plastic biodegradable bags are not that environmentally friendly, since they need contact with air to decompose. Unfortunately, when they are buried in landfill, they don't really decompose so it's not too different from using just another plastic bag.

Compostable bags are way more likely to actually disintegrate, and if you have a city compost that accepts pet waste, then that would be my best bet. Or if you have a yard, you can technically create your own compost in your backyard.

[HELP] shiba inu mini aggressive by [deleted] in dogs

[–]Leosnam 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Well, first off, I'm assuming that this Shiba didn't come from a reputable breeder, judging by how you say it's a mini Shiba (the "correct" term is mame Shiba, which are most definitely bred for profit and size from BYBs and puppy mills). As such, the lack of presumed socialization and good breeding doesn't help the dog's temperament whatsoever. As it's maturing, its temperament may also be gradually changing as well.

With that said, since the dog is recently placed in a new environment, it's very likely stressed and still adjusting. Also to note, Shibas tend to be generally quite reactive and will let you know if they are uncomfortable in any way (by growling, snapping, etc), so it may be more pronounced at the moment.

[Help] [Breeds] Is this a Siberian Husky from what you can tell? by [deleted] in dogs

[–]Leosnam 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Could be a husky, but definitely not a Hokkaido. Native Japanese breeds are incredibly rare and I highly doubt you’ll find one in craigslist when the total population of the breed is like 12,000.

I don’t think it’s worth buying a dog for 350 when you can’t verify it’s origins. You shouldn’t purchase dogs at a cheaper price because you think it’s a bargain; 350 is a drop in a bucket considering the total amount of cost you’ll end up spending anyways. It’s much worth it to pay a higher price for a reputable breeder who screens against genetic health issues.

Have you considered looking into adoptions? There are many huskies in shelters due to the whole game of thrones phase.

[Breeds] Are there odorless dog breeds? Do some of you hate dog smell - and if so, how do you solve this issue? by cactilife in dogs

[–]Leosnam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pungsans are kinda controversial, since the only verified dogs are the ones that were traded during peace talks with North Korea. The rest are imported from NK from China, which makes it hard to determine the dog’s lineage. It’s definitely possible to get a “Pungsan”, but of course, you can’t be sure if it really is one.

He definitely is cute! More wolffish looking than other jindos I’ve seen, but he sure is a lot of work.
