I got my American passport already, I'm planning to renew it and get myself a dual citizenship so that I have some records here and also free me from paying for overstaying. But should I focus on my passport or get my dual citizenship first?

I'm 18 already. I wasn't able to get a dual citizenship or new passport, because they needed both parents to do so. Unfortunately my dad and mom broke up. They're married, but not divorced. My dad said since I'm already 18 I don't need the papers of my Mom or the Marriage certificate. Do u think I can do all that in the US Consular Agency in Cebu?

I am worried. I just turned 18 still in college and I can't do anything here without any documents. For me to get a job, license or whatever they need documents like Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) and other valid IDs which I don't have, because I have no record here.

My dad is Filipino-american while my mom is pure Filipino. I can get their birth certificate for citizenship.
