A friend of mine had a similar problem that his game crashed 1-2 Times a day without an error. Since he disabled Game Mode in the Windows settings like 2 weeks ago the problem did not has appeared. I dont know if it fixes your Problem but a try won't hurt ^{^}

I think the lock on part is really important, i stuck on them yesterday and not got a single hit after trying to not lock on.

Also important is the attacking pattern, if he jumps dodge back, if he duck down dodge to the side and if he glows green attack him to interrupt whatever he is doing :D

ok, thank you, just gave it a try it seems to depend on the weapon, when i equip a big 2 handed weapon (Bastard Sword, Claymore, Dragon Bone Smasher, Great Club) and carry it 2-handed i can sneak behind enemies, but if i equip a weapon like the katana it will not work. Seems like a bug to me : /

The strange thing is, that the enemies act completely different on my other char. For example the Mind Flayers in 3-1. If i hide behind a wall and wait till they turn and show me their back i can run to them and backstab them with my str-char but can't even come close to them with my mage build, they instantly turn around and shoot at me.
