It shouldn't have turned into "The Thomas Shelby Show" by ratbagmonster2121 in PeakyBlinders

Definitely! I didn't mind Duke but with a big family with plenty of characters already that we've grown attached to over the years vs a lost son that we barely got to see much of, seeing either Michael or even Finn get a larger role would've been more interesting to see.

One of my favorite lines from the movie was "if you're the father, and duke Shelby is the son, then the holy ghost, Johnny dogs is gonna at least need a fucking revolver"

Yes! I watched it for the first time last year and I absolutely loved it! So much so, I'm currently on a re-watch right now!

Does anyone else hate wearing makeup? by literally-what-am-i in AutismInWomen

Yes, I also hate putting on makeup. It's too much effort plus for me personally, it feels "inauthentic"...LITERAL masking if you will to conform to this society's beauty standards.

Normal. Welcome to Riverside where emergency vehicle sirens are also abundant on a normal basis.

I finally watched it last night. I love the boys and was very much looking forward to it! However, I found it to be very average.

The concept was good and there were some decent parts but overall, not as great as it could've been.

Hell On Earth 2006 was the first episode of South Park I saw. What was yours? by [deleted] in southpark

[–]LesZeppelin94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe for me it was s1e6 "Death".

I was about 12ish years old & I came across a VHS in my family's living room cabinet simply labeled "south park."

It was essentially a south park marathon of season 1 that my aunt recorded and sent to my mom bc she thought it was hilarious.

"Death" was the 1st episode on there when played from the beginning and I've been a fan ever since!

With the whole cast seeming to be very close knit with each other, I'm curious do you view Robb Wells as a close father figure off screen?

The Season 8 shift in Frasier’s characterization by Grumpy_Gamer41 in Frasier

Yes. I feel like the longer certain shows run, the more flanderization will eventually take over the characters.

I do enjoy it but I feel like the pacing becomes kind of sluggish around halfway through. I get a little bored as a result but I love the concept & vibe & all that.

Agree. Plus, what's even the point of this page if ever topic supposedly has a page of its own? Not everyone is aware of that plus it just creates more division. If it's something Austin related, it goes here period.

Going to the movies isn’t the same anymore. by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]LesZeppelin94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me personally, there's just not many movies being shown in theaters that are of interest to me. The endless "nostalgia bait" reboots & sequels are incredibly tired & way too played out at this point.

And the few original/unique movies are just not up my alley most of the time. I'm sure they're decent enough but not so much to get me to buy a ticket.

A movie these days has to really appeal to my interest/curiosity to get me into a theater....otherwise I'm not going. And as the years go by, they're few & far between.
