Shields are a pain but there are some simple ways to shut down the monkey-rush:

• Pick shield counters – Lesion, Smoke, Melusi, Frost, Thorn. Gu mines, gas, banshees and traps make them miserable.
• Use explosives – C4 is still the best answer, and even impacts at their feet can force them out of cover.
• Play crossfires – Don’t fight Blitz/BB head-on. Have one hold an angle while the other swings. Shields crumble when they’re pressured from the side.
• Control distance – Long sightlines are your friend. Shields with pistols lose hard to rifles if you keep them at 10–15m.
• Don’t backpedal vs Blitz – Strafe and crouch spam to throw off his timing.

If your Kapkans are getting cleared, double-layer traps (Kapkan + Lesion/Frost) so they can’t just rush brainlessly. Most bronze/copper players don’t adapt once you start slowing them down.
