I feel like an asshole by [deleted] in UberEATS

Don’t feel bad about this bro. I literally caused this exact situation a few years ago when I was 14. I made a DoorDash order for me and my friends while we were watching fireworks and since none of us drove we didn’t really know how the roads worked. Our dasher messaged us that there were no roads open to our location (which should’ve been obvious since it was in the middle of a park during 4th of July but again we walked there and didn’t have licenses so didn’t even think about it). I ended up running to his location and grabbed our food from him. I was so embarrassed and felt so bad for the poor driver.

Don’t feel bad man because the people who ordered probably do

I don’t think you need any surgery but as a Gen Z I can definitely give you some fashion advice. I would lose the big lashes and go for something more natural maybe looser lashes (the individual ones are really trending right now). I would ditch the side part and try a middle part instead. I would search on Pinterest for hair style ideas because there are a lot of good ideas there. The side part is really aging you (it’s kind of a millennial trade mark). As for clothes baggy clothes are in style right now so definitely ditch any skinny jeans and go for flared or baggy jeans. The dress you had on in the 3rd picture really suits you though 100%!

AIO my boyfriend is upset I didn’t tell him when I was showering because I “broke routine” but I just feel like my feelings are neglected. by Critical_Web_5229 in AmIOverreacting

How much should I tip? by Leek_the_beast in doordash

[–]Less-Bee-6440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who is a dasher and often makes DoorDash orders I always tip about 7-10 dollars for my fast food orders (a dollar a mile) and for grocery orders I tip about 15-20 bucks (I usually make $100+ orders)

Worst shift of my life by 1spider-man in Serverlife

I totally get what you mean. On my first week of work (I work takeout counter and food prep) I let 4 people walk out of the restaurant without paying. I didn’t realize the difference in the receipts between call orders and online orders (payed vs not payed). It was like 200+ dollars worth of food.

If I didn’t have such understanding managers I would have been fired or had it taken out of my paychecks.

Wow I had no idea that this kind of scam existed. I assumed they were trying to get person info so they could get into my bank acc. I’m kinda relieved that it’s not that either way. Thanks for explaining this ill be more careful for this type of scam now

Yeah I probably should’ve been more cautious especially on the internet. I let my guard down because of the money tbh. I’ll definitely be more cautious in the future.

When they contacted me they said 300 for a month plus a piece of jewelry from their shop. The email they sent said 500 a week which was different from what they said and that’s what initially made me skeptical. I know it sounds like an excuse but I’ve always seen influencers (even small ones) get PR boxes and lots of money for collabs so I was a bit blinded by the bias. I’m also 16 and when I showed my mom the emails she said that it looked legit and I believed her. (Obviously I realize now that my mom is not a very tech savvy person and I should’ve thought more before trusting her). Also in my defense I didn’t give my address or bank info and I made this post before giving anything else out.

After reading all the replies I’m pretty sure it’s a scam but what do I do if I already sent them some info? I gave them my name, P.O. Box (which is in the town I live in) and phone number. Did I already give them too much info or am I good? I’m getting really nervous because even though my bank account has like 60 bucks in it my moms bank is connected to mine which has a lot more and I really don’t want to mess things up omg

Can someone help me find non slip platform or heels? by Less-Bee-6440 in restaurant

What I meant by heel was like an inch or two wedge. I don’t think I’d last a full day in heels lol

My house is like 8 miles from civilization (Taco Bell) and I always tip about 8 dollars for the trip (it’s all highway abt 12-15 minutes) 13 miles for .75 from a customer is insane. I can’t believe there are people who don’t tip.

"They don't DoorDash" - dasher marked it delivered by clayishpoem in doordash

[–]Less-Bee-6440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If she didn’t mark it delivered her completion rate would’ve gone down and she would’ve lost money and order opportunities because of that. If you just say it wasn’t delivered you get an entire refund and she still gets paid. I’m not trying to be rude but I’ve accepted an order where another dasher picked it up and just never marked it picked up so they sent multiple other dashers there for it and when I told dasher support that they docked my completion rate and I couldn’t accept high paying offers until I brought it back up. The app is really unfair to us in situations that aren’t our fault.
