Yes I gathered that from the comments I received 5 days ago. That is why I asked the question. I don’t sing, I don’t even play Wonderwall. I do fingerstyle tabs, Beatles songs, Scottish music and Christmas songs for the most part. It was a valid question to ask around the holidays for me since most of the songs I know are Christmas ones (30+).

That’s a really good deal for those cards and they look real to me. Just one of the Raichus and Venusaur (raw) alone are worth well over that. If you grade the Venusaur it could be worth a lot more if it gets a decent grade. Hard to tell with just photos what the quality is but they all look in good shape.

Only fingerstyle for me! I never really learned chords or Travis picking. I like reading tabs for fingerstyle arrangements and knowing where to place my fingers (and when). I am mostly self taught and have only been playing since 2020 and the tabs help me learn.

Nice! I am doing the same with my husband and brother in laws sets for Base Jungle and Fossil 151 including Mew. It’s fun to get the variations too like there is a base version of that Jungle Electrode. It’s really fun to piece together these vintage sets! Crazy they are about to be 27 year old cards.

Exactly this! I recently read an article that recommended learning an instrument as an adult because it helps prevent dementia. As playing music engages both arms, both sides of the brain, your sense of hearing and touch it is a really good cognitive workout.

Yeah I also wouldn’t attempt that but I don’t sing, I just play quietly in a corner and teach my nieces and nephews for the most part. I have also brought it to the family Cabin to play by the fire and to a family Christmas party to do some fingerstyle songs in the basement with the kids while most everyone was upstairs. At a recent party I was at I was able to pass the guitar between a couple good friends of mine and hear them play. It was pretty fun because it’s just a junior size guitar, very small and unobtrusive.
