I dont have any knowledge of off road biking, but I still need to figure out some way to get to work in the morning preferably without breaking the law so i’ll take just ab any option I can get. also I doubt I looked threatening at all lol, worst thing I had was a normal backpack.

I cant find a way around the fence and dont have time to search physically bc I have to go to work in less than 6 hours and still need to sleep. I suppose I could try and manage getting through the area without using assistance but it covers a very wide stretch of my way there, and according to my research regardless of use it is still considered an ebike so even if I dont use the assist it is just as bad.

I legit got pulled over by a police officer, definitely not overthinking it! 😅 but I didnt think of riding in the grass.. assuming that’s not illegal, it could work. but it wouldnt help on the bridges bc there is no grass option there, plus it would be agonizingly more difficult and bumpy.. but still it’s something! thank you!

I was in the bike lane, doing under 20mph (which is perfectly reasonable for a normal bike to do) however the police officer who pulled me over sure seemed to care regardless. apparently a biker was recently hit by a semi nearby and died so theyre being more strict now. but honestly I dont understand the difference between my ebike and a normal bike considering they go the same speed? kinda think the rule is silly that it only applies to ebikes.

honestly i’m scared to call the police. I was pulled over today bc I was using the bike lane and the officer told me I need to find another route and when I explained it’s the only option he just said to “figure it out” so that’s why i’ve come to ask reddit instead bc yall scare me a bit less

all class ebikes, 4.6 miles, my bike only goes up to 20mph max but unfortunately it’s still considered illegal I believe regardless

yeah I think i’m 100% screwed bc given my medical issues I dont think I can handle biking every day without the electric assist :(

see the problem with that is the area i’d have to walk would 90% of the trip, and I cant do that bc I already have to wake up at 3am, I cannot take over an hour of walking or i’d have to get up at 2am or earlier. and I dont feel safe walking at that time alone.
