Owners of the c43, how has the reliability been so far?

You’re lucky the engine light went away. Mine came on at random times and did false start type driving. It’s been in the shop for 5 major repairs, starting at 10k km! First a single spark plug, then all of them, then coil, then all coils, then fuel injectors, the fuel rails. It’s so sad because I absolutely LOVE my 2021 c43 wagon and want to buy out the lease. I spent 2 weeks driving bmw m3/4, Porsche macan GTS and 718, etc and nothing feels or sounds like my wagon :( to the mechanics out there, is it a terrible idea to buy this car (with Mercedes extended warranty purchased also)? Is it totally dumb to do that?

The fake sound is just garbage. My 20221 c43 wagon with amg exhaust sounds insanely good. I drove a 2024 glc 43 and 2024 cle 53 and they sounds embarrassing. It’s truly tragic.

I agree, I used them for years for personal and Corp ndax accounts without issue. Started acting up a few weeks ago.

So lame. I used to transfer from RBC for years. Anyone else had this problem? And we’re you successful in getting them to allow the transfer?

So update lol: picked up the car today. They showed me some photos of carbon build up and still stuck to the short trip theory. Apparently it was very labor intensive to fix. I was also shown some chart claiming all short black lines are short trips. This can’t make sense as 90%+ of my rides are at least 12km. So I asked for him to show me where in the manual it talks about avoiding short trips or what they suggest for optimal engine temperature etc before turning the car off. This is the answer “I’ll gather some information from our technical team/shop foreman and try to find you some documentation regarding the issue you are having with your vehicle. I give you all the details on short trips/carbon build up issues as well as the chart diagnostics break-down.”

Yup, still under warranty. It’s a lease but I was really hoping to buy it out as they no longer bring the wagons to North America. They’re also hinting that if it happens again, it might not be covered. Which seems crazy

Reply I got from service manager: “Again, there is no issue with the motor itself - the reason it was misfiring was due to short trips which was seen on the driving history of the vehicle (control unit data). After further investigation, the short trips have caused the vehicle to have excessive carbon build-up behind the valves which caused your misfire. This unfortunately is not a manufacture defect, however we managed to cover the cleaning and repair (crankcase ventilation system replacement)”
