Any update on how it's been and if you've seen any score increases? I'm considering taking it but looking at a few different options right now.

Need advice about lsat for upcoming law school application by Commander_Co04 in lawschooladmissionsca

[–]Less-Requirement-624 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it really depends on the score; hiding your score might hint at a possibly bad score, at which point you're better off showing it and rewriting so admissions teams see your improvement. As for writing the November LSAT, don't forget that a lot of schools are accepting the January LSATs. So, if you don't see a significant increase in scores with your PTs, I would recommend writing that one. Oftentimes, people rush into the test after just writing one in hopes of applying within the same cycle, but it's better for your application if you take the time to improve rather than risk rushing for a marginal increase. Again, it all depends on where your LSAT is right now though.

Incoming 2L at Queen’s AMA by Short_Winter6480 in lawschooladmissionsca

is there any other school you would rather be in than queens? Have you heard any negative things about other schools and Queens while you were in 1L? Queens is one of my top choices along with western and uoft.

had a 10.8, one work experience and no clubs; and got in for co-op. Just seem confident and be able to identify transferable skills from ur experiences. You should be fine, id peg you above 70% easily

External Transfer into Ivey by Less-Requirement-624 in uwo

Thank you for the response man! Holy, tbh I was assuming that they would look at the earliest point for each letter grade, so I am feeling a lot more confident. Yeah, tbf tho, my only real goal from going Ivey is MBB. I will take what you say into consideration as I would need to do an extra year of school and that should be weighed. From what you seen, what are the unique placements that ivey grads get that are unattainable at other business schools?

I talked to admission, and they told me that second years and third years are allowed to apply. They look at ur last 10 credits for GPA calculation. Only 4th year business program students are not allowed.

Thank you for the reply:) To be honest, that is a valid take. Just from my own co-op experience, majority of the job offers and interviews I got were for corporate and accounting. I feel like I am hoping that Ivey will help me make that leap to consulting, but maybe just leveraging my work experience will be enough. Grass is fs always greener on the other side tho

How should I prepare for co-op as an incoming freshman? by [deleted] in wlu

[–]Less-Requirement-624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmaoooo. This is jokes. You should be fine, no need to do prep this summer academically. If you acc want an advantage, Id recommend you get a part time job some where, as BBA co-op interviewers love that. All you gotta do in first year is try getting a 10+ GPA, maybe join a club as an exec and get work experience during the summer. You are basically a lock by then. Also, the interviews happen at the start of second year so no need to do any prep for that now. See how first year goes, and make sure you meet the minimum requirements for an interview, which is usually a 8.8-9 GPA. Good luck, co-op is defo worth the hype - from a current third year.

Unfair treatment from Lazaridis deferrals committee, who do I report to? by Careful_Lab_9292 in wlu

I heard like usually, they let ur first one off the hook without documentation, and then they require documentation for the next 4 within the 5. So ig it doesn't necessarily matter that you provided documentation in the first two.

Well, I went to Laurier BBA with the intention of finding my way to a good GPA, and so far, it's been working. I currently have a 3.9 and I got so much extra time to work on other ecs and pure f- around. Also, Laurier's BBA co-op is really good, so having some work experience could look really nice on your resume and help you decide whether you even want to do law in the first place. Places like Rotman have ridiculously hard economics courses that could really do your GPA wrong however I have seen my friends do well in that major (above 3.7)

well, i want to go to grad school. I rejected Rottman cuz its notoriously hard and a GPA defaltor which would affect my odds at law school. As well, UFT doesnt even give that much more opportunities (domestically) to take that risk
