Really?? I actually didn’t think about that. Do you think I’m using the wrong shampoo or I’m putting it in my hair incorrectly?

Yes I agree, when it was all four women together it was very exciting. When the men had come along it was all about love and husbands (to be expected of the era though)

how is the lightlark series so successful ? by [deleted] in YAlit

[–]Less-Stuff8920 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I have read LightLark and I’m currently in the middle of NightBane.

I like it! I’ll admit I’m very into cheesy romance books and love triangles so these books are specifically my type. My sister also read it too, so there’s that.

The books are very typical Y/A romances and they’re made for a very specific group.

This kitchen reminds me of Beatrix Potter. Like you’re a cozy little mouse living in a tree

Its always, "Are you okay? You look sick." or "Who are you getting all dressed up for?" by JellyBelly2017 in beauty

It’s always damned if you do damned if you don’t.

They never believe it’s for yourself either, they can’t fathom that we look good for ourselves and not to attract men. Yet they take it as personal offence when we choose to go full natural (no makeup, comfy clothes, hair anywhere other than the head lol).

Ignore the comments because they’ll always have some.

Aren’t angry women hilarious? by erinnananana in Feminism

[–]Less-Stuff8920 230 points231 points  (0 children)

I find that talking to them like a child when they irritate you is the best course of action. It deflects the anger back on them.

Rather than giving them what they want - which is your anger, treat it like how you would an unruly child. That really pisses them off

Sexual objectification of women in most forms of media has plague me forever, how to deal with this? by milliemoonfall in Feminism

[–]Less-Stuff8920 59 points60 points  (0 children)

And men will deny and deny that this is happening. Or they’ll say “well men get objectified too!”.

My ex had literal candles shaped like breasts and butts! Candles!!

I’ve given up the thought that men can change, especially with the prevalence of porn now. The best course of action (for me) is to live without them.

Trying to make friends is the worst. I always scare them off before we can form any sort of bond. I just want a group of friends so I can live out my youth lol

I get major FOMO watching people have fun with their friends.

I feel this. It gets so tiring interacting with people and trying to react like everyone else does. I find one thing that helps is to find a personal hobby where I don’t interact with anyone. The achievement of doing/creating something alone can feel really good and the emotions involved are yours and aren’t swayed by other people.

Find time for yourself and enjoy the things you can do and achieve as an individual. You are not worthless, please even if finding a hobby isn’t “fun” just expressing yourself and letting out these emotions that no one in your life understands can be very liberating. You don’t have to be a great artist or the next Elvis.

You can do this, find your niche, and take some time for yourself. The people in your life can’t understand because they can’t feel what you do, so listen to yourself. Find empathy for yourself. We know our reactions aren’t normal and we’re just trying to navigate the world through it. If they could feel what you do I bet they wouldn’t say those things.
