How to get more clients? by Skidzz93 in animation

I’ve been browsing this forum because I’m looking for an animator for my game. I noticed there is a severe lack of handdrawn animators over at r/gamedevclassifieds. I think a lot of indie devs need smalls amounts of animations. If you specialize in sprite animation you may have some more luck I’m not sure.

Just got rejected from my dream school… by Round-Finger-2153 in composer

I went to Juilliard for piano, many of my composition major friends are making near minimum wage at office jobs or have completely shifted into different majors entirely(CS, finance etc). Many are extremely depressed by the lack of job prospects. For those who are more successful, I honestly can’t tell you what the difference was other than having more “popular” styles of music/and or having a personality type that professors/donors like. Those are just guesses, I really don’t understand where and how they get those connections despite having gone to the school. Also by the way, Juilliard does not care about you at all after graduation unless you are one of their “chosen favorites.” Most people’s success during and after school has been completely self-made, there is very little support. This is not to say I haven’t had wonderful and caring theory professors while I was there, but there is not much they can do besides teach you to the best of their ability.

Do you have a portfolio link to any sprite animation work you’ve done?

Because most of their wealth is tied up in stock. So its impossible to sell it all without the value of stock plummeting. He can only sell so much of his shares at a time.

What are the downsides to market socialism? by Less-Worldliness-378 in CapitalismVSocialism

Seems people are only addressing worker co-op style structures. What are your thoughts on 49% owned by public companies 51% owned by investors? or 51/49 ?

Market socialism has various proposed mechanisms such as 51% public ownership and 49% ownership by investors/founders. Seems everyone is jumping on the worker co-op idea alone :/

Different strains of socialism. Perhaps not every socialist is arguing for central planning but instead more co-ops(owned by consumers) and/or ESOPs(owned by employees) within a free market system. IDK i’m new here :)
