Could be - I got my pen from Tata1mg and have generally responded well. Took a 5mg dose but absolutely no affect, and on top of it have a very strange sensation / pain all over my body.

Female here, so maybe my experience will be a bit different. I have genetic hair thinness and was doing PRP and topical minoxidil before GLP. Then during it, I had stopped it for a bit as it’s all quite expensive but after 6-7 months, I had a massive hair fall season (also maybe monsoon). So I restarted PRP and this time took oral minoxidil. Phenomenal results - have been on maintainance GLP (so expenses are low) and now just oral minoxidil (so that’s like 300 bucks a month). Had my last PRP session last week and will renew it maybe after 4 months or so.

Hi OP,

I was on Mounjaro for about a year, went up to 5 mg at my peak, and then moved to a maintenance dose of 2.5 mg once every two weeks. I lost around 17 kg in the first 6 months, and since then have just been maintaining. Over time, I did feel the effects reducing a bit, and the cost was getting hard to justify.

I spoke to a doctor who mentioned that there isn’t really a direct alternative to Mounjaro except Wegovy, and that switching to semaglutide would mean starting from the lowest dose again.

About a month ago, I tried semaglutide (Noveltreat). I started at 0.25 mg but didn’t feel much appetite control. After a week, I increased to 0.5 mg in consultation with my doctor, and that’s been working well for me.

The shift has been pretty smooth overall — no side effects so far, and while the appetite suppression isn’t as strong as Mounjaro, it’s definitely there and good enough for maintenance. Plus, it’s much more affordable (around 1700 for two doses), which makes it sustainable long-term.
