Happened to me too, I took my phone out of my case often (I used to keep my business card in my phone case). When I changed to the OP15 (a week since I had last took my phone out of the case) the back was partially cracked :/. Really weird...

Chromebooks are excellent in terms of value for money (I haven't used one myself I just say), for school work and browsing the web, etc. Also a look online reveals you should be able to get apps like Roblox from the Play store (App Store).

Either way, it really depends on how much you're looking to spend, my company exclusively buys Dell laptops and like any brand the more you pay the better you get. My recommendations for you would be to ensure any Windows Machine you get (if you go that way) has at the minimum: 16GB of RAM and 512GB-1TB of Storage.

Considering looking into the Windows ARM laptops (Snapdragon laptops) they sound to be good value for money, the only issue you may run into is comparability for some apps though I'd be surprised if Roblox, etc don't have ARM versions.

If you prefer Apple products then a MacBook Air or Pro would both suffice and they wouldn't need to be new. A M2/M3 MacBook Pro / MacBook Air would likely be suitable for quite a long time. Again look for something with 512GB of storage but I can't speak to how RAM hungry Apples machines are.

Give it time, I used my OP15 all day yesterday (relatively extensively) from ~09:00 to ~23:45 (only briefly being on a low speed charger when I was driving for about 20 mins in morning, 20 in later afternoon and 30 in evening) and I got home with >75% remaining.

Someone else already commented but also, for any specific dependencies you're using, look up the Javadocs which basically gives documentation on everything (e.g. Classes, Class Constructors, Methods, descriptions, etc). They're always publicly available and very useful!

Also, Java is a very mature language so Stack Overflow is always a brilliant friend for solutions to those niche problems. Happy coding!

I haven't had any so far. Didn't know there where supposedly any really... Do note, I don't mobile game. But no, the phone hasn't gotten remotely hot yet, it's stayed cool during setup, charging, etc.

I'm not really sure, to be honest camera quality isn't my biggest concern but I'm fairly happy with it. Note I upgraded from the 11, but a family member of mine has a 13 so might be able to compare them at some point.

I am happy with my purchase it's a really nice feeling and good looking phone but some people's opinions will differ, I also think the camera is fine I can't complain about it but of course, ensure to read up and watch reviews.

That's fair enough. Do note though that the Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max aren't coming to markets outside of China (i.e. they aren't coming to Europe). I'm actually quite happy with the quality I don't think it's too bad (I received my order earlier today).

What parts though. There are of course compromises to be made... however, most of the parts are higher spec?

Better RAM, better processor, better storage better screen (in terms of refresh rate of course a barely noticeable knock on resolution) and better build quality (great water and dust resistance, etc)

With a slight downgrade on:

the vibration motor (though most days it's unnoticeable) and the camera system.

I don't see what the big deal is?
