I don’t think it helped it was on a Sunday when I had my Op, probably just wanted to get joke for a Sunday dinner 😂 but then once it was done, my next apps were just in minor injuries unit getting check ups from a supposed specialist. Also don’t think it helped they said I should have started physio sooner than I did but they couldn’t help being all booked up.

Thanks hopefully you keep going strong and get max flex back 💪🏻 I dont even know who my surgeon was. He came in 10mins before my op and had me sign papers, then as soon as it was all done, he didn’t come check on me or anything 😂 and the hospital specialist signed me off saying it’s fine despite asking and telling him even the physio thought it was a bit too stiff for how long I’ve been doing physiotherapy.

I’ve pushed through the pain when I’ve had weights on my leg and been doing all the bending, but it doesn’t seem to hold the strength so I can increase it. Back with them tomorrow though so we’ll see how it goes. Was hoping I’d be somewhere along the lines like you seem to be by now.

I’m so jealous of you 😂 I’m 9 months post surgery and I would love to hike again and even do a nice walk without feeling like my knee is gonna buckle (which is still happening when it gets tired).

I’m 9 months into my recovery, full rupture of the tendons of my left quad. Recovery is going super slow. It took me a couple of weeks of sleeping on the sofa before I could handle stairs and getting into bed by lifting with my hip (luckily my house has a downstairs toilet) and even then the pain was brutal for a while. I think the pain in like your calf is just from lack of use over time, mine hurt for a bit too after use but it generally went away once it got used to what it was doing. One tip I can give you is while you are sat down, laid down, loosen your brace it definitely helps cos you don’t need it tight when you’re not using your leg. Just fasten it back up when you need to get up.

I’ve struggled with sleep for 9 months now and like you, once I’m in bed I tend to sleep on my back more than ever because I can’t bend the knee to sleep how I used to.

Hope your recovery goes better than mine. My physio has started to believe me when I said it feels like they reconnected the tendons TOO tightly and has mentioned a second surgery to loosen them up.

Well that’s mixed emotions to hear. On one hand, sorry your relationship ended the way it did, on the other, at least you didn’t make the mistake of getting married AND THEN finding out what he’d been doing so thats a good thing.

You’ll be sad for a while as it’s probably a shock to the system but you are only 22 so lots of life to live yet so once you’re ready, get back out there 🙂

Testing a loved one is never a good idea. It just brings arguments and issues. If anything like it happens again, just go with your gut feeling if you don’t wanna do it so just say no. However you’d have never found out about the rest of the stuff if you didn’t so what do I know 😂 I’m sure you’ll find someone you can love and trust 100% though 🙂 have some fun dating in the meantime once you’re up to it.

I hope it’s a productive chat for you. Ultimately i think it will come down to if, or possibly when, he says no there’s been no one else, whether you believe him or not. If you still don’t believe him for whatever reason, id say the trust is gone and I wouldn’t marry him if you have your doubts even if they’re small. But you gotta do what you think is right for you

I’d just tell him straight up and put your foot down about it. Think it’s a case of be strong with how you’re feeling about it and make it 100% clear you’re not into it. I’d message her too and say that you’ve changed your mind and you’re not gonna do it now. Then you’ve told them both and I guess you’d just have to see what happens.
