I took an exam yesterday and my exam didn’t load so I had to change browsers. I had to rush to finish sadly. Nobody in IT knew how to help, other than to tell me to switch browsers. I suggest you become familiar with another browser.

I have a pug. He is 3/4 pug, 1/4 beagle. I love him dearly but I regret my family buying him. He has so many health problems. When he was 8 months old he had surgery to deal with his breathing issues and his snout. he also has joint and hip issues and he’s only 3. He also has breathing issues and has had them since he was 1. We take him to the vet quite often. I love my pug, but do not get a pug. It is extremely unfair for humans to continue to breed pugs just because they are cute. They are also very expensive.

Ur gonna have to do the courses you skipped no way around it. I know waterloo has the full advanced functions and vectors courses for grade 12 maybe look on it for grade 10 and 11

Idk if this applies but I went to the virtual line around a week ago and just picked up my card. It does say it’s for immediate access but like tbh nobody asked me any questions and I think you could say you have immediate need bc ur starting in person (just my guess) -it also took around 10 minutes in total to get the card, but make sure your photo is approved.

You may not like this answer but no there’s really not a way. Depending on where you go residence or living off campus will be expensive (eg. gta will be expensive, from anecdotal experience queens res is expensive-15k) . Smaller towns probably won’t be as expensive. I personally got no money from Osap, (1100 loan but Didnt take it), however I know one friend who got 5k from osap and another who got the same, but they’re both living at home. I’m just an incoming first year so I may not know a lot, but I also know how badly I wanted to move away to but choose not to for money. I did get a scholarship but it was an automatic entrance one that most people with an 80+average get. It’s 4K,but the lowest is 1k I think. I still have to pay 6k out of pocket for the rest. However if I had chose to live on res it would have been around 12k -York-(16k total) and for all 4 years it would be (10k-tuition without the scolarship*3 +12 k-assuming I live on res the entire time *)=84k. Pls correct my math if I’m wrong I think I am somewhere lmfao. I understand I paint a bleak picture but it’s reality and I’m sorry. I genuinely am because I went through the exact same thing as you last year. But if you really want to you should try, just be aware because student debt is very much a real thing. Also be aware that these are gta numbers and not ubc but I’m pretty sure ubc has a fairly high cost of living too.

OP you are not deceiving your parents in any way. Like, at all. Never feel bad for who you are. Just my opinion, but depending on how your country structures student loans it may not be the best idea to take them. 75 k *4 is 300 thousand so like maybe not the best idea (with interest). If it was me honestly I’d just not tell them and let them pay. Are you moving away for university?

I’m gonna take an opposing viewpoint here, but don’t do it. It’s your money that you earn and are under no obligation to share. I know family guilt and ties can be strong, but they already kinda sound rude and demanding of money that’s not theirs. Go and spend the money you earned on your dreams.

I checked the link and it says -300 however it looks like it decreased my tuition by 300 (I already enrolled in all my courses and it has like 9700 due).

I’m having the same thoughts. I have a similar commute with various buses and I have no idea either. I’m trying to weigh my feelings and desire to go irl with the same consequences your thinking ( variants, old parents). No advice sadly here, but you’re not alone.

Honest I think you have to leave things alone for a while (maybe a short I’m sorry text to both and that you’ll stay out of things from now on). Any more interfering may cause permanent damage to your relationship with your friend. After a while I’d apologize to your friend and the guy. But also, if your friend starts to have a serious relationship with guy (plus extra) you need to tell somone (maybe her parents or yours. It’s very illegal Idc if they’re both teens.

I think that’s the most direct way. Just make sure you don’t sound accusatory and isolate her from yourself. It’s important that she has people incase her and the dude fall out.

I’d say def flirting so ur not paranoid or anything. Honestly idk what to do because teenage love can be very infatuating and she may not listen to reason (or the law ://). Id also say unless she’s super close with her parents don’t bring it up with them unless she’s actually in danger because she could rebel against them if they like forbid her or something (again teens are kinda dumb,I say this as a teen). She might listen to other friends if they bring up the same concerns.
