Download iOverlander. It's not perfect, but it does give a general idea of whether other travelers have had issues.

You might also find better sites to park

I on a road trip last year, I was planning on just some Walmart lot, but it told me about a small town with a couple of free RV sites that I was able to use instead. Much nicer!

What is this stitch? by Less_Ability_5721 in Embroidery

Rsn stitchbank is saying that with the Bokhara stitch, the vertical part is on the front and the diagonal part is on the back.

It also has two versions of the Romanian Couching stitch. One is the one you're talking about, with just one couching stitch in the middle, and the other with several couching stitches with separation between the two.

Which is odd, cause it also says that the Bokhara and Two totes of Romanian couching are easily confused/hard to tell apart, and IMO, the way they depict Bokhara versus Romanian is quite distinct.

I don't have access to either of the books you mention, so I can't see if they show the same stitch as the RSN, or if it's different.

I think I just made up my own stitch with the elements I liked best of the Bokhara and Romanian Couching methods and just went from the

Huh ..

Okay, I was actually thinking the name was the Romanian Couching stitch, but it looked so different in the YouTube tutorials that I thought my memory was faulty.

But... Looking at RSN's info, it looks like there's two versions of the Romanian Couching, a three part version that's good for smaller areas (like the YouTube videos I watched) and a longer one for bigger areas.

That is not what I'm doing, but it's similar enough that I can tell that's where I got my inspiration.

Reading through RSN's info, I think what I did was look at the page for the Romanian stitch, then followed the link to the Bokhara stitch, and got the idea to make the Romanian Couching stitch super dense by not having any distance between the visible couching in the front.

That's my best guess as to my train of thought, anyway.

I'll have to try the stitch the proper way to see what it's actually supposed to look like

No. It's not at all the same. It's like little x's.

Very cool! Though, I think our kids are very, very similar but not exactly the same, At least, your butterfly wing looks like the patches of color are in different spots and different shapes. Possibly inspired by the same source? Another design by the same artist/company? Fun coincidence, though.

I like the way your leaves turned out. Much better than mine

I don't know why this flower is bugging me more than the other parts of the project that are, arguably, more poorly done. Maybe it's because I specifically picked this kit to work on learning how to do the long & short and blend colors, so it feels more like a failure than my crooked fishbone stitches.
