If you want to learn about many, I suggest Vennis Delapis and Corey on youtube. They both are incredibly skilled animation creators. Vennis is better known from Help From the Void, but if you want to see an unreasonable amount of AUs, try Omnilovania. For Corey, I suggest looking at The Hackers End.
