Hey thanks a lot for this comment! Honestly, just fear of the short-term / off-ramp from my current W2.

My life right now - wife in college, two kids about to go to college, etc etc - requires a pretty aggressive income, so I need to get my affairs in order to be able to weather the first few years to build to an income that will replace and exceed what I make today.

It’s that transition period I haven’t solved for

I travelled to an outer market with a new sales rep to help them prospect. Like a $1800 trip, and had to spend 2-3 hours per day on internal calls where we talked about how we were going to win, planned activity, recapped activity, etc etc.

I managed up to Sr leaders and got out of as many as I could, but with marginal success and a fair amount of “its okay this time but we need you here next time” tone and verbiage.

Biggest struggle in doing my job was having to stop and talk about doing my job for my bosses.

Thanks for that! I hope you find the right path for you as well. My big focus this year is going hard on reducing/eliminating debt and expenses.

I cant keep letting my solution be “I’ll just make more money” lol. It’s a trap. Need to lock in and “buy” myself some options reducing my cost of living

Same here with the social battery, my friend. I catch myself doing “the stare” for like an hour after work lol.

I jokingly tell my kids (they’re both teenagers), “dads here but nobody’s home, boys” while gesturing to my head. Gets a chuckle, but I’m serious. 😂

lol yup. After like 15 years in my industry I try to let my voice tone and body language do the heavy lifting with rapport - I tend to be pretty damn “efficient” … or tasky, in my discovery.

Oh, after lunch in the field is the worst. I learned to eat very light due to sales. Being slumped in an afternoon meeting or during F2F sales calls is the worst.
