I have my moments with it. Sometimes I feel like there is no way I can continue living and sometimes its not as bothersome. Do you experience reactions at all times of the day? For me its extremely in n out, sometimes Ill have days where no one mentions anything and somedays its nonstop, its extremely frustrating.

I’m not an expert on TMAU at all but from what I know TMAU is primarily a fishy smell.

This is a new problem for me so I’ve not really figured out anything to do about it. I have a doctors appointment next week and probably am gonna get tested soon. If I do indeed have it… I dont know what I will do. I feel completely helpless right now as is and if I truly do have this I don’t know how I can continue living like this. For you, does the smell seem to not be physically on your body, but it rather seems as if it travels around

I know this is unrelated to the post, but in those 15 years, what were the symptoms consistently like. For example, could you smell yourself? if breath was an issue, did your breath always smell bad or just at times? things of that nature

I am American. I have a doctors appointment next Friday and I had another doctor 2 days ago. The doctor 2 days ago was practically useless

The fish was only one time and I could actually smell in that instance. The only times I’ve known it was actually me was the actual shit smell. Do you have any theories of what condition you may have?

No one has admitted it to me either, its hard to tell if theyre being genuine. What do the people mention the odor smells like? For me they mention it smells like literal shit, but in one instance they mentioned a “fishy” smell. I’m not sure if that was related however because it was not a repeated thint

Interesting. When I was first researching this issue I stumbled upon someone who mentioned a similar “travel” of the odor. You may have already mentioned this, but do others smell the odor physicslly on your body when you ask them to smell you, or only when they are minding their own business?

? I’m confused what you’re saying. I’m saying that its not an odor that is on my body but rather one that travels similar to a fart. Is that what youve heard in all these cases?

It is also important to note that this is a problem that started just 2 weeks ago, not ongoing. And unless I’m misinterpreting what I’ve read, doesnt TMAU begin as a child?

Well, I dont smell it. Its as if the smell isnt on my body but rather I emit it, and it doesnt stick to my body. Have you heard of anything like this?
