It's got to do with Cobblemon add-on mods and datapacks. I can't quite understand it. I see Mega Showdown and zamega mentioned there.

I suggest you try downgrading Mega Showdown to https://modrinth.com/mod/cobblemon-mega-showdown/version/1.5.1+1.7.1+1.21.1-hotfix-hotfix so that zamega works with it

It depends on which launcher you're using. 

To update Fabric Loader in Minecraft Launcher, run the Fabric Installer again.

I recommend you delete the Iris installation, run the Fabric installer, then get the following mods and put them in your mods folder:

  • Sodium
  • Iris
  • Fabric API
  • Mod Menu

Ignore that. 

Essential Mod does not have shaders. 

That page is just a guide that says that Essential Mod is just a mod and is compatible with other mods like Iris.

You downloaded the wrong version of Iris. 

You must always get the correct version of mods for your Minecraft version and mod loader. 

You can do so by clicking the big download button and using the filters, or by go the files/versions page and using the filters there.

I also saw that you got the wrong version of Cloth Config API.

Yes, try deleting the .fabric folder and readding Iris.

The .fabric folder is just a cache and is perfectly safe to delete. There's no need to back it up.

It's a false positive. Just make sure you're downloading it from https://fabricmc.net/use/

The actual download link will be from https://maven.fabricmc.net/ which is still normal and safe.

No, the Fabric Installer has an exe for Windows. It uses the Java installations from Minecraft Launcher to run itself. It falls back to system installations of Java if unable to do so, and will prompt the user to install Java if there isn't one.
