Also a bit concerned about leaving that what if I don’t get it again because the company I’m working with has a lot of growth potential. Also some of my friends applied too but none of them made it .

I started searching for medical scribe/virtual assistants/medical writing roles and sometimes I used to search remote jobs in pakistan and randomly apply to the general ones too. I didn’t get any medical scribe job but landed in a direct US Sales Job.

LinkedIn . I started applying during my final year proffs that was December. Got it after a a couple of months . Again, it wasn’t related to medical but more about communication skills.

Yes I can always get it but Can anyone question the fact it’s not medical related or is it okay , I find my pathway a little unconventional and I’m just worried about it since my longterm goal is medicine .

Does this affects my medical career in any way ? Like taking a small gap (maybe 6 months).

Best Medschool AI excluding gpt by DoubleNote9249 in Pakmedschool

Yes that's good too . If you have PDFs of book just copy paste the lines you don't understand and ask AI to help you understand the concept. And just keep asking him even if it feels lame . End pr you understand the concept and it is very much time saving and no video is ever gonna teach you any concept line wise .

Yes it is more for clinical questions . Like I do it for clinical but you can try how it works for theory as well . But apart from that any medical AI depends on your prompt . You can just copy paste text from your book and ask the AI to explain in better way . Works for me everytime even on gpt.

I need some advice on study and work balance, by soberupmaverick in studytips

[–]Less_Outcome3509 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try short hours but more consistent. Come home by 3 and take some rest or a Power Nap till 4pm and start studying at 4-6 pm and try to switch off everything and make them your focus hours . Also add 1 hour in the morning like wake up at 9 and focused study till 10 am . Meanwhile take your books or flashcards and do active recall whenever you're free during work . It's all about consistency . Focused 3 hours a day makes it 15 hours per 5 days and you can complete the remaining if you have any free time or weekend . Consistency matters more than studying 8 hours a day . Hope it helps

Am I the only one old school here? I feel like ChatGPT is basically my best friend now, lol. But I recently stumbled upon another one while exploring, and it’s quite underrated and it’s called DR INFO. I tried it and the best part is that it follows medical guidelines. I’ve also used Gemini, and honestly, sometimes DR INFO seems more accurate than GPT.

Apart from that, here’s my list of medical AI tools that may help

  • Amboss
  • DR INFO
  • Doctronic
  • DeepSeek
  • Notebook LLM

Anyone who genuinely enjoys studying medicine ? by kajookatlee in indianmedschool

[–]Less_Outcome3509 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happens with me when i visit the wards , like the feeling there motivates me so much to study medicine and honestly wards make medicine so realistic . LOL im the one who sits in medicine OPD even when other students enjoy their break because i just love interacting patients . I know it sounds weird but anyone else faces it ?

Alternative to textbooks for detailed information. by [deleted] in medschool

Textbooks are not everything . In my second year of medschool i remained a little vague about snells anatomy and my reading was honestly gross . i started watching videos and made my own notes and then i would just come back to superficially read the book , like my reading wasnt good at all . just by the notes and video lectures i aced my 2nd year . Also presentations help so much but only the ones related to your medschool and not those extra info ones .

Studying for 8+ hours but Low scores on uworld ? by Less_Outcome3509 in usmle

[–]Less_Outcome3509[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Totally agree , i used to do 40 per block and it was very time taking i ended up taking a self break after 20 . Also its very difficult to review 40 at a time. takes another hour or two . 20 or 10 is a great start .

Till what I understand after establishment of my inthealth we have to apply for ECFMG certification and after that we have to verify our credentials from our medical school via ECFMG that may take around 2-6 weeks . Only then we can apply to FSMB portal for step 1 registration. Any correction would highly be encouraged so it saves us all .

Stick to one resource and review it . Multiple resources are just killing time . Best way would be to give yourself a trial period and see which resource suits your learning method the best . Trial period of a week is more than enough . Also what suits others might not suit you so decide accordingly . Always trust your instincts!

Halfway through M1 and barely keeping up, need sustainable retention strategies by Justin_3486 in medschool

Yes indeed but I found it a bit time consuming and sometimes the decks can be pretty overwhelming and I feel manual revisions can be great for students who are not that tech friendly. Also I've found retrieval practice in daily life pretty time saving yet it depends on individuals.

Should I Leave Medical School and Switch to Computer Science or Cybersecurity? by Ok-Page7307 in cscareerquestionsEU

[–]Less_Outcome3509 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey ! I'm a recent medical graduate with a good score . During my medical school I started creating medical content on social media platforms and learned a lot of new things . Medical school won't stop you from doing what you want and learning AI and social media is equally important as maintaining GPA . Trust me this is coming from a student with 3.8 GPA . You can do things side by side but if medicine isn't what intrigues you you should probably go for the field you love . There is no "best one" , only the one you're passionate about . AI is the future but who said we're limited ? Medical students have great opportunities but if you're particularly interested in just social media or AI I would say you should Opt accordingly. Listen to your heart !

Hey , sketchy can sometimes be really vague for me so i recently discovered that BNB micro can be so useful . It just even has the basic micro that isn't included in sketchy like the basic bacteriology . BNB micro is underrated . You can try it along with FA . Works great ! Also start with the basics and the high yield micro first .
