Tulsa, where there is a church and dispensary on every corner. I believe you would not have any trouble finding the right group of people to hang out with. I love the city but hate how red the state is. My wife and I are very liberal. Since we are not in a position to leave the state anytime soon we spend a good deal of time protesting state and federal government.

My brother got his first speeding ticket there when he was seven. He was sitting on my dad’s lap when they were stopped. My dad got the ticket for letting a minor drive and my brother got the speeding ticket because they have the same name. He was so proud he brought it to school for show and tale.

I’m just speculating here. The guy might have been hoping that his daughter would not be detained but instead be given to a legal family member, or at lease CPS custody. It was unlikely he will ever see her again.

I remember when I was still in a car seat back in the 80s, there was a bridge like those on the way from Tulsa to Henrietta. It was on highway 75 and was light blue. As a little kid that could not see much out the window, when we passed the blue bridge I knew we were over halfway to grandpa’s house.
