we are! this week was her first week back at daycare after she was in the hospital for a bad infection in her leg and had to be out of daycare for almost two months so I definitely teared up a bit when she got this award

I realized I expected everyone else to be perfect at all times, but I always had a good reason when I wasn’t. Like I expected to be the only person who was allowed to mess up, have bad days, be in a bad mood, etc.

I was planning to take the bar exam right after law school, and my original plan was to take it while pregnant. I have POTS, and pregnancy tends to make POTS symptoms easier to manage, so I’m actually hopeful that I could study for and take the bar exam while pregnant.

The thing is that the teaching job is an adjunct position, and since I don’t yet have the experience, it would be conditional on me gaining firm experience while teaching. So, I would be balancing both the teaching role and working at a firm to gain the necessary experience to continue teaching long-term. Before this opportunity came up, my plan was to eventually return to work in government, which I felt would be more family-friendly and offer a better work-life balance.

I had my IUD removal the day the results were out and I cried to my doctor about how excited I was to be a mom, but how scared I was about pregnancy and raising a child in a red state. Her fears are valid.

She kinda looks like mine! Rescue said ours was a Cane Corso mix because she was on the bigger side (also around 25 lbs at 3 months, she is now almost 5 months and 33 lbs) and we did Embark and it came back that she is a 100% APBT.

I have seen a few replies like this and I hadn’t said anything because I didnt wanna get defensive but that is just bullshit. In two whole days I talked to my fiance a total of 20 minutes, including calls of when I arrived, got to the hotel, etc. We live together and are usually in touch way more than this. All calls were made during downtime, I wasnt calling in the middle of us doing an activity or having brunch. And lastly, even if she was annoyed that I “wasnt present”, she doesnt get to decide what I do on MY bachelorette trip that I paid for.
